    If he thinks that label is weird he should swing by home depot and pick up some of the fence and deck sealant.

    The warning is for the chance of infants/young children drowning in the 5 gallon bucket and even includes a large picture. I am no rocket scientist but I think there are greater concerns then the child drowning.

    Personal information is worth so much these days.

    Open up your sunday paper and look at all the great bargins you can get. Cd's for $14.99 with a $5 instant rebate and a $10 mail in rebate. Do you really think they are giving you the cd's for the price of the tax only? No. They are gonna sell the information you send them to get your rebate. And that information will be 100% correct.

    Well *most* of latin america is considered 3rd world and the growth there was amazing.

    Luckily for 3rd world countries we have reached the point where usable computers are cheap and abundant. I would be willing to bet that most of the growth was not broadband though.

    I back up plenty. The only problem is I didn't back up 10 minutes before the drive died.

    You are bound to lose *some* data, unless you are running raid of some sort.

    The whole idea is the "supernodes". They have to break the encryption to prove they exist otherwise they have no case.

    They could use ftp to connect to another computer and get an mp3, doesn't mean they could shutdown all ftp programs.

    No iso. They only have that pitiful eval crap. Now I know you don't have to have an iso to install it but thats the only way its getting on one of my machines. And I am certainly not buying it without having it on machine first.

    this will only keep out your friends. Your enemies would just steal your notebook and then take it apart and eventually get the stuff off your hard drive from another machine.

    big corps like Disney, etc. can and will push this thing through.

    Too much publicity, good or bad, doesn't hurt it either. The more opposition to something like this, the more the congressman can sqeeze out of a big company and that will make him adore legislation even more.

    Maybe my idea of reverse engineering is different but I don't think it should be copyrighted.

    Well if you were to some how search and find(I couldn't find it for some reason when searching) there was a story on /. about a linux distro written in assembly. Its about as barebones as you're gonna get.

    It only runs on windows unfortunately, but its educational and addicting. The other downside is while the game has no violence, it led me to violence acts :)
