So sexually harassing women in the workplace is suddenly something liberals do. Jesus. How's life on the far left? Literally everyone is an enemy to you, aren't they? What's it like, being a political extremist?

This isn't Puritanism. It is precisely the opposite: SJWism. Women are vulnerable to the patriarchal norms of oppression, men are rapists, we all know the arguments by now. Nice job trying to change the subject and blame it on religion, though. You even got modded up for it.

Thanks for being the asshole who turns a tragedy into cheap political point-scoring. Moreover assuming your enemies are inhuman shitstains is a common affliction of Leftists, something Jamie Kilstein found out after he was run over by the very SJW mob he led.

Campaigns that mischaracterise issues and stigmatise opponents reduce the complex to the simplistic in ways that are fundamentally unhelpfulâ"they polarise society, inflame passions, and do little to fix the problems they identify and ostensibly seek to solve. You are fighting imaginary fascism with real fascism.

Their power fantasies always involve them dominating someone or hurting people... So much hate and self-esteem issues.ï

  8. There were huge protests. The clear message: we are good, Google is evil.

One of the major dogmas of the intellectual far left is that every situation should be understood as a manichean opposition between evil oppressors and good victims. With that kind of perspective, it becomes impossible to grasp the extreme complexity of real life situations. The triumph of left wing ideas in academia is a major intellectual catastrophe in that regard.

For any who doubt the truth of this, go read this amazing true story of an SJW on Quillette. Entitled "I Was the Mob Until the Mob Came for Me". It's an amazing insight on what it's like to be an SJW and why their culture is thriving at Google right now.

In my previous life, I was a self-righteous social justice crusader. I would use my mid-sized Twitter and Facebook platforms to signal my wokeness on topics such as LGBT rights, rape culture, and racial injustice. Many of the opinions I held then are still opinions that I hold today. But I now realize that my social-media hyperactivity was, in reality, doing more harm than good.

Within the world created by the various apps I used, I got plenty of shares and retweets. But this masked how ineffective I had become outside, in the real world. The only causes I was actually contributing to were the causes of mobbing and public shaming. Real change does not stem from these tactics. They only cause division, alienation, and bitterness.

How did I become that person? It happened because it was exhilarating. Every time I would call someone racist or sexist, I would get a rush. That rush would then be reaffirmed and sustained by the stars, hearts, and thumbs-up that constitute the nickels and dimes of social media validation. The people giving me these stars, hearts, and thumbs-up were engaging in their own cynical game: A fear of being targeted by the mob induces us to signal publicly that we are part of it.

Then one day, suddenly, I was accused of some of the very transgressions Iâ(TM)d called out in others. I was guilty, of course: Thereâ(TM)s no such thing as due process in this world. And once judgment has been rendered against you, the mob starts combing through your past, looking for similar transgressions that might have been missed at the time. I was now told that Iâ(TM)d been creating a toxic environment for years at my workplace; that Iâ(TM)d been making the space around me unsafe through microaggressions and macroaggressions alike.

I mobbed and shamed people for incidents that became front page news. But when they were vindicated or exonerated by some real-world investigation, it was treated as a footnote by my online community. If someone survives a social justice callout, it simply means that the mob has moved on to someone new. No one ever apologizes for a false accusation, and everyone has a selective memory regarding what theyâ(TM)ve done.

See also Jamie Kilstein talking the SJW mob turning on him on the Joe Rogan Experience. Kilstein had the same thing happen to him. Only, he wasn't just an SJW, but he was an SJW leader. He targeted dissenters for harassment and the mob followed his lead. He did real harm to people. But...eventually his own mob turned on him. Let's listen to his own words when he actually meets his former enemies for the first time in his life:

I met Knowles while I was getting makeup done. He was warm and hilarious. In my former life, I'd never have pictured a Republican laughing at anything except the plight of the poor. Then his producer came in. His Latino female producer. I made direct eye contact in case she wanted to blink out some S.O.S kidnap code. But nothing. Just another goddamn nice, and funny, conservative.

At one point, someone brought in a gift from a fan to present to Knowles. Was it a hat emblazoned with the words "Grab 'em by the pussy?" The gun used in the Parkland massacre? Nope. It was a tasteful painting of him and his wife on their wedding day. Then the producer walked out from behind a curtain, where she'd been pumping milk for their newborn baby. Turns out the party of family values occasionally attracts people who actually embrace family valu

  16. Sneering contempt and hate...i think the point of my post passed right over your head. The EU is falling apart and attitudes like yours are why. Dismissive and offensive towards anyone who thinks differently. The EU is built upon a foundation of free American security, free protection for the vaunted EU exports by the US Navy, and unfair trade agreements that Europe provide an effective subsidy of $150 billion every year. Take any of these three away and the EU has severe problems. Take all of them away and you seriously think the EU can succeed? Nobody pays for a military. You know how ruinously expensive military might is? I guess not. If you knew how fragile the EU really is, you would sing a different tune. Without the Americans backing it at a tremendous cost to themselves, it would never exist. Even with all this welfare the EU is still falling apart.

  17. Google is trying to appease the SJW mob. This never works. It just energizes them and makes them sure to make even more extreme demands of the future. We've seen this again and again.

You know what we've seen works? Ignoring them. They get sullen and bitter and move on to the next cause. Nothing worse than throwing a protest and nobody cares. The opposite of SJW hate is not love. The opposite is indifference.

  18. The fantasy world where people like you keep insisting America is just as bad or worse than China. It's not. It's not even in the same league. BUT you would rather eat broken glass than ever admit anything America does is good, so keep the hatred fires burning strong, I guess.

  19. With attitudes like yours, is it any wonder the EU is so fantastically unpopular? Shitting on the little people and calling them stupid...gosh that's really how to persuade people you're right about everything. Sad part is that most of the EU government is pretty much just like you.

Moreover support for the EU is very closely related to anti-Americanism. On Slashdot you'll see a lot of Europeans admit very openly that they support the EU because they see it as a rival to the US.

A lot of hate Old Europe has for the US is not only a product of their ignorance of their dependence on the US, it's also *because of* their dependence on the US. Old Europe takes the US for granted and many of those that are aware of their dependence on the US still hate the US because playing second fiddle to the US stings their pride.

The real problem is that there are no mental asylums in California. The ACLU sued the state back in the 70s to have them shut down on the grounds that they were inhumane. Now they have no place to go...but they're free, just like the ACLU wanted.

And frankly there are a proportion of homeless who are not mentally ill but just have extreme views on personal freedom and are willing to make sacrifices you consider bizarre. None of them are drowning in debt or spend their lives staring World of Warcraft, ever think of that?

Truth tellers are seldom popular. The concept of "don't say vicious things" is a fine theory. In practice, as we have discovered over the last 10-20 years, if you let the hearer/reader decide what is vicious, suddenly, everything that everyone says is vicious. This is what our ancestors knew that we have mostly forgotten - that once you embrace the idea that it is legitimate for offensive speech to be constrained by force, the free-thinking world descends into endless multilateral outrage.

I believe that you love justice and truth and cooperation. You cannot have those things in a world where anything-that-anyone-defines-as-hate-speech is forcibly restricted. You either have to accept that the skinheads are going to get their chance to speak, or accept that you'll never be able to speak freely on any subject ever again.

Nope! That's a lie. The ACLU sued to have them shut down, and Reagan merely closed the doors on the now-empty facilities. Of course, that created the modern homeless problem, and the ACLU and its media friends pinned in on Reagan.

You see, the ACLU thought it was morally wrong to imprison people who had committed no crime. Which is what mental asylums did. As long as they could lift spoon to mouth to feed themselves, they were deemed fit to be released. They sued and won.
