So what's wrong with that? Leftists needed safe spaces. It seems like you're arguing against your own side. How's it OK when you do it, but suddenly wrong when others do it. I really do not understand.
Fun fact: respectable intellectuals and college professors today still think communism is the way of the future. They teach their students this. It looks like democracy today has failed with Trump, and capitalism has always been wrong. Let's ask our mainstream media journalists how they think.
Human rights track record? What's not to like about a country that has initiated more wars and armed intrusions than any other in the past century and killed a few million people in the process; has manipulated and interfered in 81 elections in other countries; has stationed its troops in more than 100 countries around the world; bombed 8 Mid East and North African countries in the past 20 years, has insulted literally every ethnic and religious group in its own country (except white, Christian, obese coal workers) and every major nation around the world; already has or is going to pull out of numerous international agreements; blackmails and bullies countries as it wishes; runs the most expensive espionage apparatus to spy on its own people and "fights terrorism" by tapping foreign allies, the Vatican and the UN.
How many countries has China invaded? As a very great man once said, "No Chinaman ever called me n*gger."
Because having our own solar industry and not being dependent on a hostile nation like China is a worthwhile goal. If it means short term pain, then so be it. It's long term gain. I'm glad we have people in the government who have the courage to make the right decisions, even in the face of bigoted opposition.
It is important that we develop our solar industry and not let it get crushed by Chinese dumping. It seems that the GP is putting "GDP growth" as not only #1 priority, but the only priority. This is false. We have other priorities. China is a hostile country and they will gladly make us hurt if they can destroy our solar industry. Employing the American people is also a very important goal, and it is worthwhile even if the GDP growth is not maximized.
She exposed the classist, hateful bigotry among people who claim to be morally upstanding but when it came time to stick to their principles, instead chose to speak truth to the powerless.
(1) We're not in a depression. (2) China maintains HUGE tariffs on American solar panels. Why? We're getting fucked on this deal. Time to benefit our own people instead of roll over and let the Chinese win, again. The moment that they let down their tariffs, we'll do ours, too. But not a moment before. Fair play or GTFO.
Where are all the socialist success stories? It's failed everywhere it's been tried. And before someone jumps in to mention Scandinavia....Scandinavia is not socialism, as much as Bernie Sanders sold many young, naive millennials with that talking point. This was something that was rebuked by Denmark's PM himself. In the Scandinavian countries the means of production are primarily owned by private individuals, not the community or the government, and resources are allocated to their respective uses by the market, not government or community planning. Scandinavian countries are highly capitalist. This is why they're successful, they avoided socialism. Like smart people do.
Having lived in a metric country for a while, that vaunted "being able to seamlessly convert units" ability comes in handy a lot less often than you'd think. It just doesn't come up. Plus, A4 paper is too thin and tall. When I use Letter, it's fat and has nice margins, better for printing text.
Just wait until Facebook or whoever starts analyzing your purchases, and then when you try to leave the store with beer, beeps and won't let you go. It's bad for your health, you see. It harms all of society. Then cigarettes, then sugar products, then products made by companies that donated to Republicans. Once they start analyzing what you buy and finding problems with it, it's gonna be Pandora's Box.
The left's visceral hatred of poor whites overflowed like a broken sewer when John McCain chose Sarah Palin as his vice presidential running mate in 2008. It would be impossible, and disturbing, to attempt to identify the single most offensive comment that leftists lobbed at Palin. One can report that attacks on Palin were so egregious that leftists themselves publicly begged that they cease; after all, they gave the left a bad name. The Reclusive Leftist blogged in 2009 that it was a "major shock" to discover "the extent to which so many self-described liberals actually despise working people." The Reclusive Leftist focuses on Vanity Fair journalist Henry Rollins. Rollins recommends that leftists "hate-fuck conservative women" and denounces Palin as a "small town hickoid" who can be bought off with a coupon to a meal at a chain restaurant.
The reason that the US military are prohibited from law enforcement was a compromise thrown to viciously racist traitors. The more you know!
Plus, it's not really kosher to criticize Obama's legacy of militarized police. I'd tone that kind of thing down if I were you. Just kind of stop bringing it up.
Wow, you really don't know about all the times the media flat-out lied about Trump? Seriously? CNN fired how many people this year for lying? Look at how many hits there are. Wow..
Recently, four big scoops were run by major news organizations â" written by top reporters and presumably churned through layers of scrupulous editing â" that turned out to be completely wrong: Reuters, Bloomberg, The Wall Street Journal, and others reported that the special counsel's office had subpoenaed Donald Trump's records from Deutsche Bank. They weren't. ABC reported that Trump had directed Michael Flynn to make contact with Russian officials before the election. He didn't. The New York Times ran a story that showed K.T. McFarland had acknowledged collusion. She didn't. Then CNN topped off the week by falsely reporting that the Trump campaign had been offered access to hacked Democratic National Committee emails before they were published.
Forget your routine bias, these were four bombshells disseminated to millions of Americans by breathless anchors, pundits, and analysts, all of them feeding frenzied expectations about collusion that have now been internalized as indisputable truths by many. All four pieces, incidentally, are useless without their central faulty claims. Yet there they sit. And these are only four of dozens of other stories that have fizzled over the year.
If we are to accept the special pleadings of journalists we have to believe these were all honest mistakes. They may be. But a person might then ask, why is it that every one of the dozens of honest mistakes are prejudiced in the very same way? Why hasn't there been a single major honest mistake that diminishes the Trump-Russia collusion story? Why is there never an honest mistake that indicts Democrats?
When all the errors are in the bank's favor, you can be forgiven for thinking there's more at work than sloppy arithmetic.
Britain is as far away from East Europe as you can get. Maybe if the EU represented the interests of the people, it would be more accepted. But it doesn't. Blaming the dirty foreigners for the problems is not a solution that will ever work.
Fiasco? That's the kind of attitude that hates democracy and loves autocratic governments. The British people voted for it, and if it's inconvenient, then that's just tough shit. You don't get to overturn voting because you don't agree with it. British sovereignty is more important than other goals. If the EU had made its people a priority this would never have happened. But the EU doesn't represent the people of Europe and that is not something the British people want to be a part of. We must respect their decision even if we disagree. That's democracy.
Communism was fought to a standstill. It's hard for us today to understand how popular and forward thinking communism was regarded. Respected intellectuals were all for getting rid of messy democracy and going full collectivism, and they would not scruple at murdering millions to do it. And the end of the war wasn't like you falsely remember. US troops withdrew in 1972 with the communists promising not to invade. 3 years later, they poured across the border like Nazi Germany into Poland. Liars and murderers.
The press is corrupt, it is an arm of the Democratic Party. We don't have a free press. Trump is attacking our corrupt press in a desperate attempt to spark change and reform. Who's going to show how evil they are: themselves?
The mainstream media, which you could argue is adversarial, but what we have is not adversarial. We have a partisan opposition press which works hand in glove with the Democrats. This totally threatens the First Amendment, because when people figure out, which they have, that they can not only tell you who you must vote for, but they can tell you what truth you're allowed to know or not to know, this is hugely damaging to our Republic. As we have seen in all of this other stuff with Russia, all of the stuff with the Clinton Foundation, all these things. The real question becomes why do we need a First Amendment if they're not going to do their job, which is to be the tribune of the people and instead become the partisans of a political movement.
If the country isn't a shithole, then why isn't your friend the doctor there today helping his own people? Why'd he come to the most racist xenophobic nation on the planet to live and give the deplorable bigots who live there the benefit of his skills?
Nope wrong! Japan closed its markets while American markets were wide open. This was all part of the plan to bribe Japan to stay on our side. Since obviously being free from communism wasn't enough. Dis true fact. I mean, think about how depraved you would have to be to want to fuck over our own people like this. Wow. They did this on purpose.
Seriously? You are actually using the "it's not socialism" argument? Lol. Venezuela is absolutely a socialist system. It's not a dictatorship either, they freely elected their leader, in elections supervised by the UN and no less than Jimmy Carter himself.
So what's wrong with that? Leftists needed safe spaces. It seems like you're arguing against your own side. How's it OK when you do it, but suddenly wrong when others do it. I really do not understand.

China puts a punishing tariff on American solar panels. Turnabout is fair play.
Because having our own solar industry and not being dependent on a hostile nation like China is a worthwhile goal. If it means short term pain, then so be it. It's long term gain. Bill Ayers addresses Venezuela, praises socialist system. This is the man who taught Obama everything he knows about politics. I think he knows a thing or two about socialism.
Where are all the socialist success stories? It's failed everywhere it's been tried. Romanians are a race now? WTF? When did this happen?

National pride is toxic. Making people feel proud of their country is racist. New Zealand is a nation of murderous white settlers.

Minority rights are far more important than the majority. Have you learned nothing in the past half century?
Walls don't work. I have been assured of this many, many times. It's funny how suddenly walls work when it's people you want to keep out.
Nope wrong! Japan closed its markets while American markets were wide open. This was all part of the plan to bribe Japan to stay on our side. Since obviously being free from communism wasn't enough.
