That apple is mainly suing websites that have had "leaked" information on them, e.g. information about new models coming out etc that could be considered trade secrets before the models are actually put on the market...
Well, I certainly see the point in banning community-run broadband. Makes tons of sense, I mean, especially as usage agreements wouldn't stop that where the ISP don't want the user to share his access outside of the property.
But on the other hand, it doesn't affect me, as I'm not in the bloody usa =)
Of some other spacecraft a long while ago (unmanned) that took off and turned straight around, to crash itself into some ocean. All due to a trivial programming misstake...
I got 5 3G operators in my area offering this kind of service... All with their own "branded" data cards. I wouldn't call this breaking news though, as it's been around for well over a year now.
"unless cell technology increases substantially, when we run out of oil we will convert coal to synthetic fuel." that at least the synthetic fuel will be more environmentally friendly than coal and oil then =)
Here's some envy for some people: I got 26 mbit right now, but soon I'll join the pack of 100 mbit users... Very soon, and, there's no max transfer limits.:D I love this place
Damn small linux (D.S.L) points to http://www.damnsmalllinux/ which makes some browsers, think it should slap a.com (or whatever) onto that and end up on a advertisement page. Now http://www.damnsmalllinux.org/ is the correct link. Just FYI.
Sony Ericsson only pulled it's division that develops bluetooth software & hardware for licensing. They still support the actual standard, and have a department that works with implention of it in it's own products.
... I dunno if you've got the 3G operator "three" in your area. But at least where I live, they provide free sports scores (and video for charge, not live though). I really prefer to browse my news etc in a text-based enviroment... Plus I don't have to use earphones to do that.
I just bought a DVD-Burner. Although it would seem to me that if this is a reliable media the prices would be cut a lot of it becomes popular. At least considering how the prices of high-speed DVD burners (and media!) has dropped over the last year as it has gotten more popular.... It was the same thing for CD-rw drives back in the day. Although the question is if this will become popular on the market, especially with more worked-in standards as dvd already out there (think blue-ray).
Just got a bit struck by this quote, "Chernobyl pages discussed here a few months ago were eerie; this site is simply heartbreaking". Even though the page's story wasn't true about someone actually motorbiking in the area it is not less heartbreaking in any way.
If you use the swedish bank "Sparbanken" (one of the largest) you got your own RSA half-creditcard sized code generator. You enter your social security id (birthdate with 4 unique digits attached) to the bank to give the basic identification and the bank gives back a 9 digit code you enter into your RSA code generator (after entering a 4 digit access PIN code) and then get another 9 digit code that you enter into the browser to the bank.
It might sound like a lot of work, but it really goes in less than 30 seconds in most cases. Plus, you do the same procedure (get code enter code in rsa device, enter in browser to bank) everytime you want to pay a bill. Although you can stack up 20-30 payments or more and sign them just once, so it's not a procedure that really bothers anyone.
And of course all the communication is over https/ssl and all.
This isn't that new for us in the "rest" of the world that always used the metric system. It really makes things easier to handle that you just got to divice/multiply by 2 to get the next size...
English isn't my native language, and no I havn't attended anything MSCE related thank you. Spend some less time correcting other people and some more time writing your own posts?:)
I work with several NAS appliances daily and the easiest to administrate is clearly the SNAP servers. Although we use Dell branded ones that work just as well with unix/novell/linux/mac/windows so the product discussed isn't very "unique" so to say. And it's been in the market for quite some time...
But I guess it's good for those that havn't discovered the advantages with snap's yet.
Actually, everyone that doesn't speak Swedish should know that "Piratbyrån" is a phun of "Antipiratbyrån" and I guess everyone knows the word anti. (piratbyrån = piracy agency)
I hope this means they will support full PNG transparancy in new versions of IE in preparation for this new feature - that would make it worthwhile for other purposes too.
My bad for the typo, was in a hurry to get a quick reply in :)
And as for the other comment; it's not like I went and corrected some gramatical error which at least I think is more pedantic...
They probably meant HTTP GET, rather than HTML GET.
(Hyper Text Transport Protocol)
(Hyper Text Markup Language)
See the difference?
Well, this has to be the most... hartbreaking, yet "allright" move apple made since they cancled the newton on me.

Just my 5 pence.

Just to give some more details on how it works

And here I was, hoping space tech would come to EVERQUEST. I read it several times until I saw it was everest...
Serious gaming addiction problem?
Well if it's some day proven wrong, why just make another law that someday also might be inaccurate...
