To be honest, they both sound very alike to me, at least in this region. I was born and raised...and still live in New England (Massachusetts to be a little more specific...but not near Boston...I don't pahk cahs here *giggle*) and that's just the way I've done it. I think the way I say it is "EEK!" with a G in front of it...as in..."EEK! That geek has created a beowulf cluster of hot grits!" or some such.
However, I do have to wonder what the difference between Cheap and Greek with a German accent sounds like. Hey parent to my earlier post...got a.wav of your pronounciation? Could be interesting! Wait...on second thought...that'd be a bad sort of link to post here. Hmm...
Wow, you have either really old light sets or really cheap ones. Every string I've bought in the last 5 years or so was in parallel. You may want to consider an upgrade. It's only about $5 a string...
This is not a black and white thing. I wouldn't say that I have implicit faith in those counting the paper ballots, but I most certainly have more faith because their results can be verified.
So, let's just say that I am more faithful in them.
As a trucker, I feel I'm rather well versed in the need for maps...and especially map upgrades. I don't use a GPS, but do have to buy a new map fairly often (they come out yearly, but they're out of date commonly). There's just too much construction and too many changes to not have update software, especially in the northeast, where they like to get rid of and add ramps and streets very often. They even change the names of the exits...and remove the numbers!,,,^o.o^,,,~
Nah, they were around...just uncommon. My first experience with a processor fan was a weird IBM 486x5 that had an odd speed. Fan was probably due to overclock built in from factory.
Heck, though, I even have an old AMD 286 board with a heatsink on the chip. *shrug*
Then perhaps you should practice space cushion driving...but then, that's so very far off topic, I won't go to it here. Cheers for paying attention though!
...and the tractor-trailer behind you has a stopping distance around 430 feet from 55-0 mph with hot brakes (cold brakes around 256 feet). Your stopping distance isn't the only thing to worry about.
I think the attempt at making a distinction became an issue in the 70s, when movie/TV-related SF started to swamp the whole genre, and all the related novelisations, three or four places removed from any original thought, started to take over the book rackspace as well...Yes, it is. Just trying to define "SF" has always been a good way to start an argument. It used to be that stuff like 1984 was excluded from the genre by the literati because it was too good. Now any mystical mishmash with special effects is included. It goes to the writers of this stuff having no respect, and often no knowledge, of the genre. One reason Star Wars (the original one) was good was because of the elements it recycled from the old pulp (1900-1940) era Space Opera. As Lucas disappeared up his own arsehole in the sequels it went downhill.
Yeah, I think that makes sense...there's so much of it around, now a days, most of it mass-produced. Maybe we should use the Space Opera classification so as to avoid confusion.::chuckles::
Actually, I wouldn't recommend you look up how to solve the thing, rather, I'd recommend you write a program to remove the little stickers on the cube and...
Okay, so that's not nearly as funny as I thought it would be. Erf.
Not all! Some places/do/ have competition. I used to work for a telco that was one of the competators. In some markets, you could get (for example) Qwest and AT&T, or RCN and Comcast, or other combinations. Sometimes you could even get 3 or 4, depending upon where you live.

Yes, it's like Greek without the r :)
Yep, they still work. Bought them at Ames before they went under.

Hehe, thanks, I appreciate it. That's just downright silly.
As someone who hasn't tried this, and doesn't have it installed at this point, I have to ask. What's said humorous error message?
Would that be...one Elvira, multiple Elviren?

I've been looking for a good hardware review site. What would you suggest?

433 Mhz AM: The technology that powers most wireless keyboards and mice, along with a few other things.
Why not Frinken-fruit? I mean, at least you'd have the reference with it all...
I'm not young, but we apparently were too poor to have the brand name. The box mine came in just said "Lawn Darts" hehe...still have them, actually...
...Jarts? What's Jarts?
It's been 12 seconds since I've hit reply!

Ah, spiffy. I'd never heard this distinction before, despite being rather active in the community.
One thing does bother me, though, it feels rather subjective, sort of an "I'm better than you" classification...sort of like Trekkie vs. Trekker.
I can understand the annoyance of judging in that fashion, though. Thanks for the clarification.
What's the distinction? ::genuinely curious::
It's been 14 seconds since I've pressed reply!
..and it was re-released for PC. I've got it still...and I'm still awful at it ::giggles::

Good luck with the programming, though
So...were you successful in your brute-force of the Rubik's Cube? (aka Continuum Transfunctioner?)

I'm using a 9600 baud modem, you insensitive clod!
(No, seriously. *sigh*)
