At home I use "MoosecockAP". Some friends thought the joke below was really funny, so I felt obliged to name my Cisco AP350 after it.
Two Canadians are sitting in a bar, and getting bored. They decide to play 20 questions.
The first Canadian tries to think of a word and after a little pondering comes up with the word: moosecock.
The second Canadian tries his first question, "Is it something good to eat?"
The first guy thinks a moment then laughs and replies "Sure, I suppose you could eat it."
I was applying for an internal position at my employer and to treat me as equally as the other applicants, my co-workers sat in the conference room and gave me a phone interview while I was in my office a few hundred feet away.
Additionally, they say they will soon be using robots to stop sheep jumping off cliffs [...]
I thought sheep were supposed to push back when they are near the edge of a cliff.... oh wait... nevermind
Owners of small domains, beware: no more computerless vacations that last more than 4 days at a time!"
I could see this happening to larger domains easier than smaller ones. Microsoft has already lostdomains because the re-registration got "lost in the mail". Maybe the next time, the one who snags it won't be as nice to return it so promptly and without a legal battle.
"It's aimed at small business and people who conduct large transactions online."
These people use AOL? I sure wouldn't do business with any company whose e-mail address was companyname@aol.com or whose web page was http://hometown.aol.com/coolguy12345
Isn't this the point of the System Restore slider?
No, that is for system restore points. That's something on top of the normal bloat:) The backup files are stored in %windir% are for removing service packs/patches. The system restore points can be made at any time you choose and can back out any changes you make.
I don't think Cisco is going to kill off Linksys. I think they're buying Linksys in order to move into the home market. As it stands right now, most Cisco products have a target market of business users. They are way too expensive and robust for what the average user wants to use them for...
But if they had Linksys, then they could try to penetrate the home market and, at the same time, keep their hold on the high-end/business market..
So Microsoft will continue its efforts to lock-in users with proprietary formats, and hopefully the rest of the world will produce an XML standard document format without them.
I'm not trying to start a flame war here, but it seems that they're missing the point! We don't want it to be MS with one format and the rest of the world with another. That really wouldn't make it much different from how it is now. At least the way it is now, non-MS office software can read the MS formats. If it comes down to the choice between using the MS format or the "rest of the world" format, MS is going to win every time..
Would be to activate IE's "Disable 3rd Party Extensions" option (In IE6: Tools-> Internet Options-> Advanced -> 12th Option Under the "Browsing" section)..
I was fixing somebody's computer that had this toolbar installed and it would crash IE every time you opened IE (Or tried browsing the web via windows explorer). But once I Disabled 3rd Party Browser Extensions, it worked fine...
Karma whoring or redundantly informative? You decide!
Answer? Both.. Who doesn't need extra karma to burn? I'm being redundantly informative because most people will say "awww.. poor RIAA, they're losing money". They need to be constantly reminded of the facts or else they'll forget about them.
Do you have to pay taxes on a settlement? That would suck if you got your $20 just to spite the RIAA, then the government, in return, hits you for its portion..
Given, that it's only $20, but it's still the principle of the thing...
Dreamweaver routinely writes code that does not work on many versions of netscape/mozilla/phoenix (especially for linux).. Their built-in javascript stuff is the biggest culprit..
I bought a TV at Wal-Mart (hey, I know.. but at the time, there wasn't an electronics store for 100 miles in any direction).. It was a 27" RCA TV with Guide+ GOLD blah blah.. I paid ~$325US (kinda pricy for a 27" TV).. In the 2 years since I made that purchase, I've had to return the TV 3 times (that's right, I'm on my 4th TV in 2 years), and I don't think it's Wal-Mart's fault.
Now, I'm on Wal-Mart's "You've returned too many higher priced items in X months, so we think you're stealing them" list, and I cannot return the TV even though this one just recently broke too. I've finally decided to quit beating the dead horse and just buy one from Best Buy and the ~$50USD 4 year service agreement..
I've joined a few TV repair forums since this started happening, and I've seen a lot of the exact same TV break multiple times.. When shopping for my new TV on best buy's site, I saw the model of mine that was constantly breaking.. They are now selling it for $229USD and not offering any sort of service agreement on it..
I tried to buy something on Best Buy.com and my credit card got billed, but the order didn't get placed... "Unusually high network traffic" they said.. Interesting how they have enough bandwith to bill me, but not enough to place the order..
And today, 4 business days later, they're still "researching" the charge (aka. I haven't gotten my money back yet!)
Sorry for replying to myself, but I forgot 1 very important piece of information the article poster should know..
Your school has most likely already re-submitted their I-17 (basically the form that makes a school able to have international students). After that, a contracted individual (read: private investigator who knows nothing about the workings of the INS) will come to your school and do a site-survey (basically check to see if documents can be produced on demand). Then that individual will submit a report to the INS. After the INS reviews the report and approves the I-17, your university can no longer submit I-20's in any other way than via the SEVIS system!!
So if you don't like this information, you have until your school gets approved to find a school in another country... because everywhere in the US has to do things the exact same way...

What does having 1GB of storage space on Google's mail server have to do with never needing to change your e-mail address?
It might allow you to keep many more e-mails than possible with yahoo or hotmail, but how will this allow me to never change my e-mail again?
