No, I doubt anyone will update a 3 year old device. Google certainly will not. I don't see how that's a problem though, if you've been happy with the device for 3 years you should not stop being happy with it for staying the same as it has been.
I'm not sure what you're talking about. Is there some tablet on the market that will only play video from approved media sources? The tablet I have plays standard video files just fine.
Your life can go very much up or down in an instant, I don't see how that's relevant. As investments go, I would say a week is still very much short term.
I would guess that their definition of lending is allowing someone else to use your Glass with their own Google account. Anything else would be unenforceable anyway.
It's not a phone, it's a Bluetooth accessory. And the price hasn't been set at $1500. We have no idea what they will be selling this for when it gets released, but over $1000 seems incredibly unlikely.
They don't want you selling it because it's a development device that is only being sent to a select group of people. Your reason doesn't even make sense, if it was sold the new owner would obviously use it with their own account.
Nuclear proponents talk about coal because coal is the competition. If a new nuclear plant is built it will be build instead of a fossil fuel plant, it won't be replacing a wind farm. 40% of our electricity comes from coal and another 25% comes from gas. Solar, wind, hydro, and geothermal are way down on the list and have no chance of becoming the dominant source of power in the near future, if ever.
You keep posting links about civil forfeiture cases. We know that happens and that it's frequently unjustifiable, but that's not the issue. The issue people have a problem with is why does a random car stereo tech have a responsibility to investigate a large sum of cash that he finds.
Expedia, Travelocity, Kayak... all the tools that let people chose to fly United instead of Delta because tickets on United are $2 cheaper. Airlines have been in an ongoing price war ever since deregulation in the 70's....and people insist on getting 60's level service at 2013 level prices.
I've often wondered why those price comparison sites can't include some of those additional fees when doing comparisons. If I tell it I plan to check in 2 bags and I prefer an exit row seat they could show those additional costs and give a better comparison.
You can't just sue over the constitutionality of a law, you still need to have standing which based on the result of this case the majority believes they lack.
We push boundaries for what we can do, but in a universe where black holes and quasars are common occurrences what we are capable of is still not much more impressive then banging two rocks together.

Driverless cards are not allowed to drive on public roads anywhere, so whether they exist or not is irrelevant. Either way, we still can't have them.

I'm pretty sure he's saying all short term speculative trading should be taxed as gambling, not just HFT.

How is it that so many people are spouting the same ridiculous nonsense?
Obviously you are talking out of your ass. SMH.

What 20 year old? Kim Jong Un is 30.
That doesn't sound so good, it will kill your battery life.
There are methods of reprocessing other than breeder reactors.
Reprocessing of nuclear waste doesn't have technical or economic hurdles, our reasons for not doing it are all political.

If you're going to include Android, then may as well include Mac OS's Quartz too. I don't think either of them really make sense to include though.
Umm, yeah. That's exactly what they do.
Tethering is only included in the limited plans.
As far as I can tell, swiping away does exactly that.
The notes don't show up anywhere in Drive, so they must not be using the standard APIs. It's a little disappointing.

We already have "ideal" worlds of this sort in the solar system. We don't need another.
