Frome the allantimes.com site: In regard to planetary alignment, magnetic field is more important than the distribution of the masses (the relative locations) of the planets. For example, volcanic activity on the earth has been shown to be correlated with the magnetic field of Uranus.
If you're going to portray this site as the least bit authoritative, maybe you would be better off submitting stories to the Weekly World News.
someone needs to go visit the dumbfucks at the X-Ray machine and see what a $5/hour brain really functions like.
Why airports would entrust such an important job to such a low paid and consequently high turnover jworkforce is beyond me. That's capitalism I guess...
re: indymedia.org. "Independent Media", I'd love the idea! However keep in mind that indymedia.org is a pretty wacky left wing news feed.
Pretty wacky alright...what other news organization lets anyone and everyone upload their own video, audio, and images to their site so that the rest of the world can see it?
Currently in phase 2 beta, this game will have a virtual economy that will be tied to the real world. Players will be able to exchange the game currency for real cash and vice-versa. As well, the client will be free with no monthly charges. A virtual stock exchange is among many of the things planned for this game; whether or not it actually sees the light of day is another question, but it has been in development for quite some time now. I'm hoping to get in on beta 3.
A new type of detector called LIGO will be going online within the next few years whose purpose will be to detect gravity waves. Check out the page...it's quite the marvel of engineering.
ok...lets do a little experiment. how about if i go outside and spend 2 hours in the midday sun and soak up a few rays and you go to the hospital and spend 2 hours getting dosed by the X-ray machine. lets see who lives until the end of the week.
If I remember my biology classes correctly, teeth already are regarded as an evolutionary relic by some biologists
I would say that either 1) you don't remember correctly or 2) "some biologists" don't know what the hell they're talking about. Teeth are essential for proper nourishment as they grind food up to a point where saliva can start the digestion process.
Can you imagine trying to chew a steak with your gums?
He does have a point about Pluto orbiting another asteroid. The centre of gravity between Pluto and Charon actually lies outside of Pluto. Some astronomers refer to the Pluto-Charon system as a "twin planet". I have to disagree about the point about Jupiter and Saturn's moons though. They are clearly moons since the centre of gravity is for all intents and purposes at the centre of the planet.
Pure genius...thanks for clearing that up for me.
a beowulf cluster of these?

Okay then...but what the hell does THIS have to do with the relationship between lumber prices and housing starts?

i would spend them all on you.
Instead of just looking for a smattering of links (everyone's only giving you one anyway) try this site .

I'm made out of molecules too...my mom was even further ahead of the times than Apple.
It's actually more like 2% but it's an interesting and little known fact anyway.
My most sincere apologies...I think the problem is that this site is buggier than a cheap Mexican hotel.
Congratulations on making such a reasoned reply to an utterly witless and meanigless comment.
NASA is not the governing body of astronomy, the IAU is. IAU stands for International Astronomical Union.
