I love how the "Free Software Foundation" Charges money for membership, even for poor College Students. So you can believe in free software, but not be a member unless you pay?
Thats okay, I came in second in CTF this past quarter... but god damn, most of the cs kids are pretty *freaky* *cough* get lives *cough* but hey... just means more of the females remain untaken;)
This guy's argument is bullshit. Claiming that nerds are unpopular because they want to be smart is ridiculous. I was the perfect description of a nerd in early highschool. I sat with all the "nerds" and didn't dare approach the popular seats for fear of getting my ass kicked by a football player. Yet at the end of highschool, I was a two way starter on the football team and could sit where ever I wanted. I graduated with A's and 1380's SAT's. This is my point: there is no "Choice" neccesary. All that made the difference in my life was getting involved with other people, and not being scared of being publiclly ripped to shreds. After getting on the football team, I learned that half the kids on the team played chess, and there were alot of "nerds" on the football team, though when I was younger they all seemed like overgrown lumps of muscle who were idiots. I think its all a matter of prespective. If you avoid other people because you think they won't like you, you are sealing your own fate to feeling unaccpeted and miserable. I think thats a lesson most "nerds" need to learn. People, even kids in highschool are generally nice. (Certainly with some exceptions) And blaming a "nerds" unhappiness on the popularity of others is bullshit, when he/she needs to learn some social skills.
Sorry if you disagree, but I feel its a necessary side to portray.
Could someone out there be kind enough to explain what exactly "Trusted Computing" is, or point me to some information on the web. I understand it will be used somewhat to limit the playing of pirated music/video files, but beyond that I am clueless. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
I think O'Reilly should make books comparing two different langauges, editors, computer topics. Why you ask? So they can show these crazy animals fighting it out on the cover. Wouldnt you love to see the Jave in a nut Shell Tiger beat up/eat the Dynamic HTML Flamingo? I thought so.
I work at a company that designs GPS software for handhelds. We are currently trying to get a working program for the PALM platform, but theyyy are sooo slow and not capable of what the IPAQ's abnd jornada's can handle... boo palm!
Hey, Im a high school senior who plays football... And guess what? I love chess, so do half the other players... We waste time in the locker room playing chess. Its actually very similiar to football, its all about planning and strategy and knwoing how/when to strike your opponent
Who leaked this?
The whole things gonna be shut down in less than a month and all the friendly university reps are gonna be sued like whoa...
I say they just run the entire thing over an ssh tunnel and key the whole system so no one can "get in" and spy.
Sigh, Northeasten is gonna suck even more now.
Tear, Tear.
There is no source code in the project files...
And if you try to finger her box... youll just get "connection Refused"
They should just get the Bosstones to reunite and play "They Came to Boston..."
" They came they saw they annoyed me..."
And get his smelly ass out of town.
