I've had a VIA board on an old i386 and it's never given me problems. Because of this I've bought nothing but VIA boards sine about 1996. I'm sure this board will live up to the VIA reputation.
I'm glad they're finally going to ditch Outlook Express. Being a Linux user, I know this is blasphemous to say -- but I actually like Outlook but I never understood Outlook Express... It has half the features of Outlook, it eats just as much memory and they both come preinstalled with windows! Why would anyone want to use Express?!
I'm with RedHat on what they've done. I don't think it was a bad move or gesture to KDE or GNOME. But that greatest gift one desktop thing is rediculous. My favorite thing about linux is options.
I got a copy of debian when I was 13. I tried to install it and failed, miserably. I thought, "screw linux" - it's busted! A year later, I was even more tired of MS and DOS (wasnt so bad now that i remember back on it) so I bought RedHat from WalMart. I tried to install it and SUCCEED!
Now I'm 21, I've used Debian, BSD, SuSE, Caldara, Stormix, Lunar, and RedHat. RedHat was able to teach me linux and let me move on to the other distros. It's a level of how easy it is.
Microsoft's products are easy to use and thus, broken. RedHats is the easiest distro to install, and they make a few sacrafises for that. But, it benefits the entire Open Source and Linux community.
Without Redhat, I never would have used Linux, ANY DISTRO!
This is the stupidest thing I've ever read. I drives me to the point of suicide just thinking abuot it. Everything in this country that gets popular is gets corperate. What planet have you been living on?
It's the internet, it's big, it's business, it's not science anymore. It hasn't been science since AOL showed up. Get the hell with it.
This news makes me pretty happy for our futures of spam but... This being Utah & Ohio could create a bigger problem with shared information on the internet. If the boundies of this(these) law(s) are confined to Utah & Ohio then spammers will either ignore the law all together OR they will start passing off information of where you live, as to avoid states with this new bill. That's a little worrysome to me.
I don't know if a Federal law would help much either. That could do the exact same thing. None the less, this changes the rules a little and that is comforting to me.
Here's a tip for all you guys who hate spam as much as I do. Check out SpamCop.net. I've noticed a slight (any decline is good to me) decline in my spam since I've been using spamcop. You forward (with the header) the spam to the email address you signed up to get and they will process and track the spam and then allow you to email the spam's ISP straight from their forum. It's really nice. Check it out, and it's free!
It's probably true that the system, as a whole, is pretty weak. But, this isn't really news. I remember, the group L0pth, speaking at the US Congress a few years ago and they said the exact same thing. See the artical(s) here: here and here
Hey you unskilled people of infantile knowledge! Listen up! I, being a strong Bruce Willis type, am an Oil Driller. The US Government has come to me with a plan.
In 16 years, me and my crew (even my lusty daughter, but not that filthy rotting boyfriend of hers [ben afflack sucks]) are going to lift off on our mission to save the world! That's right, folks. You can all go about your...next 17 years.
I will drill a hole into the astroid, then drop a nuclear warhead into the hole, exploding it from the inside out. Thereby, the 2 halfs of the astroid will MISS Earth.
I don't know if this will work or not... I feel like I have to help stop this law.
I live in Texas, would it help if I wrote my Senator telling him how rediculous this is? Maybe, if we all write our Senators (and Congressmen) then this will be dead before it is born.
Hell yeah there should be a warning label. The gore family already decided that if there is "unacceptable" lanauage on an album then it should have a warning label. I think anyone who buys a copy-protected CD, when they find out it's protected will scream "SHIT!!" and that is worthy of a label of it's own.

because the article says that the press at the white house received Easter Eggs from officials. Surely not.... right?
...is alive!
I've noticed that SMAC version 1.1 and 1.2 no longer works with SP2 installed. Neither does editing my mac address with regedt32.
This might just be my computer but it's worth thinking about before installing SP2.

I believe that nuclear war will have killed us all by then. Don't worry about the comet.
10 whole fonts?
Welcome back, Mr Mitnick

hahaha that's great. The RIAA (ideals) take a bite out of the AOL-Time Warner (hahah again) company. I love irony
:)
Don't you?

Yeah, well... I use linux but I don't think linux is as big as a treat as the US Government trying to axe them up into a few pieces ;)
I'm sure if we ask really nice like, Vegeta will blow up that rock for us.

Well, hackers 2 was pretty sweet. Thanks Kev!
www.findanddestroy.com used to be a store who sold such items as, "Shut That Bitch Up Duct Tape" and "Hide That Body Quick Broom Closets"
