Probably your viewing habits. Which isnt bad if you think about it. Companies will pay for these habits and you'll see more shows based around the ones you like to watch, and you'll see less of the ones you hate to have on. Ad companies will be able to target you better. Also as far as fair use goes, it's legal to give taped copies of shows to friends to watch AFAIK. And as far as 'skipping commercials' this is only possible when you're watching pre-recorded shows, NOT real-time. And just like a normal tape VCR, you can just fast forward through commercials anyways, so this is also not infringing on anything, it's just a 2000 way of doing it (ie. better technology.).
Is seeing all the people (The Russians) saying "They were 50 feet away and we still couldnt see them! They blend in, the planes cant see them, the helicopters cant see them!"
Russian Planes and Helicopters didn't have infravision attachments. We can get those to EVERY single soldier to see heat patterns. We can see heat coming out of CAVES. We can see EVERYTHING with our modernized army. They will not last. We will weed them out. As long as they are alive we will see their heat and we will extinguish it all.
Because they can't profit from anything without destroying the site. Banner ads dont bring in any revenue, and you cant charge for the service. This wont get off the ground because there isn't anywhere it can go but down. The only thing that they can do is start running auctions, selling products through buy.com and its affiliates and hope they make enough to pay the 5,000 employees they hire in anticipation of "getting big" only having to fire them 3 months later.
>>>It was all just retarded sex-humor and Muppet style physical gags which serve only to widen the gap between real world observations and hokey magic land bullshit film making. It made Dumb & Dumber look like pure genius.
What? Like Clerks? Mallrats? All the fecal humour in Dogma? All his movies are stuffed full of sex humour and gross out jokes.
You haven't seen a Kevin Smith flick yet, have you? That's okay. He was making fun of you the most.
It *is* broken, and needs to be fixed.

Perhaps you haven't tried to log on any IRC network lately. It's a frigge warzone with servers going down 5-10 times a *day* because some 10 year old lost ops in a channel. It was never meant to be abused and as such, is totally broken.
I have this ranked HIGHER than Farscape on my Tivo. It is seriously one of the best cartoons ever made. It is a downright RIOT and im laughing my ass off at nearly every episode. GIR rocks! Seriously! Stick this on your Tivo and you will NOT be disappointed. It's on Fridays nights at 8pm CST on Nickelodian (I have NO IDEA how they picked this up as its more adult humor, but I thank them for it!).
Which is a *good* thing. LEXX is about as close as you can get to seeing a Douglas Adams TV show IMO, but with a bit more erotica weirdness thrown in for good measure. It is nothing like Red Dwarf at all, dunno what the original poster was smokin'...
..since DX is backwards compatable with such features. If DX 8 allows PS 1.4, it most certainly will allow PS 1.3 and the same functions will all be translated within DX 8.
That's pretty much why DX 8 exists. Sure, you wont have all the features of 1.4, but your 1.3 will be zipping along instead at full speed regardless. It wont simply be tossed aside to software-emulation mode.
I only watch TV with my Tivo.. I never watch it "as it's happening".. I'm too busy playing EverQuest. But when I have that spare hour of time that comes at like 1am on a Sunday night, i'll sit down and watch some LEXX or Malcolm in the Middle or some Invader ZIM.. Yes; I do fast forward through all the commercials BUT, if something catches my eye, i'll hit stop and watch the ad. I've done this for nearly EVERY trailer for any movie coming out.. I've seen the American Pie trailer like 50 times and it still cracks me up. So while you CAN fast forward through ads, we basically still watch what we WANT to watch, INCLUDING the ads! (And yes, I do watch commercials OTHER than movies - Like BMW and Jaguar commercials, etc!)
That is in NO WAY insightful. To compare the original Tron being released to having put Dimitry in jail is absurd. How about I start calling you Hitler for trying to take away everyones freedom of choice? Sheesh!
I am assuming they'll have totally free and open Internet Access with a slew of new cafes when the Olympics arrive? As well as many different religious shrines for foriengers to pray to while they're staying, and able to pass their teachings on to the Chinese? This is all part of hosting the olympics, did they forget to tell them they have to accomidate their hosts to the fullest when it arrives? This means they basically have to lock up their police for a few months and let people be free for a change. They're in for quite a shock!
Modem access, just like cable access all are filtered through switches and then fed through routers. The *only* difference is that cable modems have these hubs for each neighborhood, which is a Good Thing(tm) because it has many pipes all filtering down into the main router rather than just dialup-switch-router where the single switch can be overloaded, whereas cable networks wont unless the neighborhood somehow eats over a gigabit of data at the same time (Not likely!). Stories like these are just urban legends and people really have no idea wtf they're on about.. "I heard cable is bad because too many people can slow it down!".. Yeah, well, its the same for ANY ISP mr brainiac, difference being Cable has it laid out 10 times better. I get insane transfers from my cable modem and download an entire Data/Audio CD binary in just under 10 minutes (700MB). It is never slow, and is always up.
Just to set the record straight for a lot of those people saying "This is nothing new, even Everquest had these same problems.". FALSE.
EverQuest, when it was released was a SOLID game. It has class balance issues and a few exploits to be taken care of for the most part. The client was rock solid, as were the servers. The game worked flawlessly. HOWEVER, the first *3* days EverQuest was released to the public they has SERIOUS BANDWIDTH issues! The login server was flooded (/.'d) so bad it reached its peak and wasnt allowing people to filter on in. When you finally got in, you were disconnected shortly after because their ISP couldn't handle the load and the lines were constantly up and down. After 3 days of this, they had more than enough bandwidth for everyone and REAL playtime ensued. From there the rest is/was history. Tweaks, Nerfs, Class Balances, and a few DirectX problems, but other than that the game hs been *rock solid* since launch. I know, i've been playing 6+ hours a day, every day, since those first 3 days. And you know what? The game is by far one of the best ever still to this day.
What Anarchy Online is totally different. They released the game with buggy clients and buggy servers. This should never have been allowed.
