The anandtech link you gave shows dothan performance is rather ordinary for CPUs in the same price range, and absolutely disappointing given the cost of the motherboard.
As for price, my amd64 and athlons already run cool and silent. I have opterons and amd64s and the heatsink barely even gets warm to the touch, and thats with the fan on its lowest setting. Why would I ever buy dothan when its not faster, and heat isnt an issue?
Dothan might hold promise for the laptop market but absolutely zero for the desktop.
to overthrow all non islamic governments (non islamic to include such "apostates" as shia muslims), kill all jews and convert everyone else to islam at gunpoint. atheists are high up on bin laden's shit list too, all atheists are marked for death. iirc all hindus must die too, since they're polytheists.
the extremely religiously conservative authoritarian saudi government - a human rights nightmare to westerners - is considered a decadent, liberal cesspool by bin laden. just so you have a basis for comparison.
want to know what bin laden is fighting for? to turn the entire world into an islamic state, ruled by something like the taliban.
"Laws protect you against those that would do you harm."
bullshit.
microsoft has done plenty of harm to me, yet the law hasn't done squat to protect me. microsoft has gotten off with not even a slap on the wrist in the last federal antitrust trial, which gives them a green light to continue their incredible abuse (with a wink from the current administration of course).
laws only protect the interests of those with deep pockets, the rest of us get screwed.
3) Itanium is second only to the X86 in terms of numbers of microprocessors on the market, so it doesn't qualify as a flop.
Biggest.Fucking.Lie.Ever? Or are they simply delusional?
itanium has sold around 200k processors, ever. PowerPC, MIPS, Sparc, Alpha, have each sold orders of magnitude more than the itanic.
Hell, 8-bit microprocessors still account for more than 50% of the entire microprocessor market (generally for embedded use). Desktop PC microprocessors account for less than 10% of the entire world market.
I wish they split it into two smaller probes which shared instruments between them to reduce the chance of complete loss.
experience has shown that this doesn't help. they either all work, or all fail. the only thing multiple probes get you is a more diverse data set, not increased reliability.
the galileo atmospheric probe parachute problem is new to me though, do you have any references?

there's more to unwillingness to "accept death" than antibiotics or antiviral drugs. but i guess diabetics, accident victims, cancer patients, etc should just "accept their fate". god obviously intended them to suffer and die, who are we to play god?
sure, $50,000 could have eased suffering of a large number of people. but so could the money you spent on your computer and internet connection you used to type your rant. its quite ridiculous to be lecturing people how to spend their money. sell your computer and give up the internet and donate that money to charity. then you'll have a moral leg to stand on.
A transparent layer of plastic which cycles around the cells (goes over the cells, through a slot in the panel, underneath, and back up through another slot) in a conveyor belt fashion. Underneath, you have an array of brushes to clean the belt.
Whenever it gets dirty, you just run the belt to clean it off.
Cheap, lightweight, reliable, and if it fails well then you have the same runtime as if you had no cleaning system at all, so zero overall loss.

SOI technology has been around for ages. It was used on radiation-hardened CPUs for space probes since the 1960s.
Any patent on SOI has long since expired.
you got fucking owned! he ripped you a new asshole, and you're crying about it. lol!
follow the logic of your position to its conclusion, and you will see the logical inconsistencies in what you are saying
no, he won't. he's incapable of it.
in bin laden's own words:

...everything bad that happens anywhere in the entire world can be blamed on americans, even tsunamis.
well I have a 386sx/25 from around 1989 - "it still runs", but I wouldnt exactly call that a major feature.
G3 hardware is considerably more fragile than PC hardware and is lucky to still run after a few years?
I worked for a startup cablemodem ISP.
My condolences. I hope you recovered.
have a reference for mac address being used in court? if its often as you claim, then you should have no problems providing one or more case numbers.
wallwarts get really tiring for removable storage. i can only imagine how annoying replacing batteries all the time would be.
are there any bus-powered usb / firewire enclosures?
...In fact, it's been around since 1979!
I wonder how long it will take NASA to start building the little triangle ships?
As long as those tiny UFOs don't show up, we should be safe.

You know he'd just punch the accelerator, hit the kid, and then drive off. Why is this even up for discussion?
They obviously didn't take mcbride's "license or we will have you shut down" threats seriously enough.
Oh I don't know, maybe deep space 2 perhaps?
There are other dual failures, such as Russia's Marsnik 1 and 2, Sputnik 22 and 24, Mars 2 and 3, Mars 6 and 7, Phobos 1 and 2... the list goes on.
Experience tells us you are much better off risk-wise with discrete individual missions than you are with paired simultaneously launched probes.
there are no photographs there, only imaginative artist renderings of what it "might" look like.

Yep. works real well too. And it's very reliable in extreme conditions.

Not really all that confusing and distracting.
In voyager he played a tight-assed doctor.
In SG1 he played a tight-assed lawyer.
If he hadn't played a tight-assed character, that would have been distracting.
Her personality. She became more "accessable" in season 4.
And, uh... I'm not into that sort of thing.
I don't think it would stop a lot of slashgeeks though...
Given a choice, I'd have to bring back Bill Hicks!
