    Don't know about the GP, but most of my TV really IS 20th century, literally. Much of what I watch is old reruns from the last century. Most of the new stuff is crap.

    The problem is, the weather bozos go into panic mode if there's weather within 500 miles. I've seen them cancel shows for hours to talk about a tornado in some town I've never heard of, while outside my window the sun is shining and the birds are singing.

    It's likely that your GF & other friends have a reasonable amount of money themselves. Would you trust a woman on welfare who came onto you after knowing you were rich? If so, can I introduce you to my sister?

    In urban areas I think that number sounds about right, but in many parts of the country 75K a year is middle to up upper-middle class due to the very low cost of living.

    OTOH, in parts of New York or California, 75K gets you a very nice cardboard box to live in.

    I think they use voter registration AND drivers licenses. My mom votes but doesn't drive, and my GF's mom drove but didn't vote. They've both been called.

    My GF's mother got "snared" that way. She didn't register to vote, because she thought she'd escape from jury duty, but they got her name off the driver's license records.

    But are they REALLY relevant? If I've bought shoes, I won't be buying anymore shoes for a year. Unless the shoes were crap, in which case I won't be buying THOSE shoes anyway. Maybe it IS better than the untargeted crap you get on TV, but that's still not very good.

    But I do need access to an exact copy of Production. One of my big annoyances was when I couldn't replicate a problem, then found out the data I was working with was different from the Live data that caused/revealed the problem. Or some supporting software had been changed in Production and I was testing with an obsolete version.

    I don't want to mess with (or mess up) the Production stuff, but if my stuff is different from theirs, I can't guarantee that I can find their problem.
