Since I live in a battleground state, I'll vote for Bush (lesser of two evils). But, if I didn't, I'd probably vote for Badnarik, the Libertarian candidate.
You mean the 7 minutes where Bush's subordinates WERE gathering facts? Or did you expect Bush to jump to his feet and make an immediate decision with absolutely no information yet?
I liked TOS! Some of the dialog was corny but the stories were good.
TNG had some stinkers, but it also had some great stories.
DS9 wasn't as good as the first two, but it too had some good shows.
Voyager was when ST started to jump the shark. It had some good stories, but the crap was clearly growing.
By Enterprise, the previously mentioned shark was gnawing on the warp nascells. A show that had a lot of potential was dying fast. Archer's dog was my favorite cast member!
I liked ST, but they haven't given us decent ST for a long time.
Exactly! Also, the CDRW is one-shot. Once I've burned it, that's it. I can't reuse last months backup CD, and if I have 3 newer backups, I might as well toss the old one into the nearest landfill. In contrast, I CAN reuse my Zip Disk. Too bad my work computer doesn't have a Zip Drive.
What makes it hilarious are the statistics that show most people visiting the site run Windows.
Most people post on this site from work. They might be as rabidly anti-windows as possible, but they still have to use whatever the boss says they use.
XP actually succeeded 2000 AND ME. It was the next CONSUMER oriented Windows OS. And, reading your post I just realized, ALL the consumer oriented Windows since 3.1 were either a 2 digit year or 2 characters.
I always thought the successor to Windows ME should have been Windows ME2, not XP. I think you're mistaken about RedHat, but Slackware DID skip from 4 to 7.
Both of my bank's sites work on Mozilla and FireFox, and one of them works on Konqueror (I haven't tried the other on it). If your bank doesn't, maybe you need a better bank.
I don't know much about Mac, but you're right about who causes the problems. I've helped several "morons" with Windows, but the worst were the "morons" who thought they knew what they were doing - and didn't!

90% of the REAL political ads don't support anyone else either! They just say "Bush/Kerry sux!".

Have you ever tried to convince a PHB to use SLACKware? It'll never happen!
Actually, I got that in PUBLIC school!
Probably, but it would be good to have that on record. At least then, those idiots couldn't claim to have the confidence of the American people.
Especially since everyone knows that Badnarik is the best candidate!

Since when is a person "formally notified" by phone? I always thought they had to be notified in writing, perhaps served by a process server.
They're working on the Gentoo icon. It's still compiling.
Are you trying to turn me into a Diebold supporter?
Does every citizen in Switzerland directly vote on every issue?
I don't know about servers, but I'm sure
The auto-avoid didn't work very well. It didn't try to avoid the jumping Jedi, did it?
If a user is warned against running as root, but does it anyway, that's his problem.
However, if a user doesn't even know he CAN run in a more secure manner, then it's at least partly the fault of the OS vendor.
The default should be to run as limited user, not Admin, as it is now.
OhNo, the attack will be worse than I thought!
NT stood for "New Technology". I forget what XP stands for. eXtra Pain?

Yikes! I didn't know anyone still used that! I learned RPG at DeVry, but I've never used it since.
At work, I have to choose between IE and NS 4.7! I was hoping they'd at least upgrade to NS7, but no luck.
