    I've heard that Windows had the Point Of Sales market locked up, but in retrospect, that might not have been "Point Of Sale".

  2. I can't see this happening, but it seems to me that if everyone who didn't like Trump/Clinton voted for Johnson/Stein, they'd win in a landslide.

  3. There may be a guy driving a bleeding woman to the hospital, a guy with a bomb in his vehicle that will go off if he goes below 70, or a woman who drank too much coffee for breakfast. But 90+% of the idiots going twice the legal limit ARE just assholes.

  4. A more safe speed is "slower than nearby cars" - they're not going to stop you for doing 85 if another car flies by doing 100.

    I think I had one password back in 1986. Since then, I've kept getting more. They've gone down recently, with a lot of stuff accessible via Lincpass, but I've still got a whole slew of work pws for various systems. Not to mention several slews of non-work pws.

    Most morons don't fly planes or drive boats. They only see them in crappy movies. It's not a question of what autopilot actually does. It's a question of what Joe Sixpack, who isn't a pilot, and perhaps isn't really very smart, thinks it does.

    Also, my car has electric windows, so I'd want to open my driver's window before turning off my engine. It would suck if the cop thought I was trying to flee because I had to start the car to roll down the window.

    At one time there were small grocery stores every couple of blocks. Only when people proved willing to drive for a simple task like shopping, did they all go out of business and consolidate into a single neighborhood super market that's nowhere that anyone can walk.

    Don't get me started on this. Way back in ancient times, in the house I grew up in, there were 3 grocery stores within a few blocks, and a 4th that I could have gone to (I don't remember why I didn't). Nowdays, that house is in the middle of a "food desert" with the nearest store well over a mile away (that's each way, not round trip). My last house should have had a store a block away, but it closed just before I moved in! I've given up walking to the store.
