A lot of the time I go into a store, people are speaking Spanish. Some of them probably are illegal, but many aren't. Including the cashier/teller who speaks it right back to them.
That's interesting. July 4, I was sitting on my porch waiting for the fireworks, and futzing around on my phone. It was slow, and I figured I was close enough to my wifi that it was trying to connect, but far enough that it couldn't, so I switched to cellular. I still had it there the next day, and my battery seemed better that day.
With Open Source, there's no guarantee that anyone will find the bugs in the code, but with closed source, I guarantee nobody but the company's programmers will be finding and fixing the bugs
I usually don't have much trouble with iOS upgrades. Maybe a small drain the first day, and fine after that. I have had a big drain with 11.4. I've often gone under 10%, and once the phone even shutdown, compared to the 30-50% I had before.
If you're single and make $78k; yeah, you're likely rich, can save the vast majority of your pay check, have lots in the bank and probably never worry about money.
If you're a family of 6 and make $78k, you're definitely not rich. You probably go without a lot of things, worry about money constantly, probably have no savings -living pay check to pay check- and could probably be considered as "poor".
Well, I'm single, make in the 80s, and have an iPhone. But I also live in a house that's older than my mom in an area that can charitably be called "questionable" (actually, there's not much question these days, it's just bad). I'm not worried about my next meal, but I don't consider myself "rich".
My mom made it on 15K, but she just had one obnoxious brat to deal with. I make more than 5X that, and I'm reasonably comfortable, but far from rich, and I still live in a bad part of town.
In the real world (cities that aren't on either coast), it's the opposite. My 30 minute drive to work would be a 90 minute bus ride, if I don't miss either of the connecting busses. And no more oversleeping, since being 1 minute late to the bus stop means 15-30 minutes later to work.
If it can suggest to me some shows that I will enjoy and would otherwise have missed, and it doesn't cost me any money, then I'm all for it. And conversely it keeps a lot of garbage off the air by letting them know what I don't watch. I feel this is information that really can't hurt me. I don't see them querying my TV to see what I was watching on the evening my mother in law was suspiciously murdered or anything.
However, you might be in trouble when they find that you murdered your MIL in the living room in view of your Smart TVs camera.
I use my smart phone all the time and I don't have A- Oh look, squirrel!
That explains it. The other day, my PC was acting up so I was yelling "Fuck, fuck, fuck!". Then I got ads for condoms!
I'll take nursing. Working with computers sucks.
Computers are logical. People aren't, and I'm sure sick people are even worse.
I have trouble with the concept. I know most European languages have it, but it seems strange assigning gender to inanimate objects.
Speak English in America, or you might get deported.
What if you speak Cherokee?
I wonder if anyone would report someone wearing that as an illegal alien. LOL!
Timing is everything. If I die 1 day before my CC bill is due, my debts could be quite different than if I die the next day.

Yes! They can tell you what happens when you let the wrong people in.

2. People who blame Dems for all the ills of the USA, not realizing both parties are experts at screwing them.
Considering that Trump beat 16 Repubs, I think people realized that.
I paid 40K for my house, and it's a decent house. The neighborhood isn't exactly great, but I haven't got shot yet, so it's livable.

Nope, Missouri is Pay Before You Pump.
If the south side of Chicago is anything like the East Side of my city, some of their iPhones were got by mugging someone.
Are they new iPhones? Mine's an iPhone 6, and I bought it when they were still subsidized, and IIRC, it was in the $200-300 range out of my pocket.
I earn less than 100K. I don't have a Bentley. I do have an iPhone.
Which is most of the mass transit in the US.
If the city runs it like it runs the bus, we'll have poop on our seats.

Yeah, you can always move to tornado country, brush fire areas, and tsunami islands.
