it would be really cool if i were in middle school and they gave me an ibook, but i don' tthink they are getting the point
as many people have said already, many students will look for pr0n and play games. but that might have a reason they chose macs: less, harder-to-find games. that still does not eliminate junior high schoolers talking on IM all day
i agree with methuseus, yahoo mail is far superior to hotmail. one o fthe best parts it that you get pop access, so it doesn't take foever to read your mail
the discontinued, but great soundjam mp (which itunes is based on) had an option to enable "CD Digital Audio Playback". if you unchecked that option in the preferences, it should rip
try looking up the MAC address of the original computer you set up your broadband with and put that in the MAC address spoofer on the linksys setup page
maybe the ISP's aren't cutting off their users, cuz they are paying for internet access so they can dl music. pretty easy decision for them: more money or less money.

if you have a dv camera, it's easier. hook up the RCA (or s-video) out on your tv/vcr/dvd to the corresponding port on you dv cam. put it in vcr mode. plug it into your mac with a firewire cable. open imovie. press import (and play on vcr/dvd) and you're recording
they're probably not adding ogg support yet because it is not officialy finished, like mp3 is. they don't want people complaining to them if there are incompatibilities between ogg files and the ogg decoder and they end up sounding bad or not playing

wireless transfers (using airport) would add another $100 to the product. that alone makes it not worth it unless you are insanely rich. but also the transfers would be so much slower, only slightly better than usb transfers
the only thing that is an advantage of a polaroid is that it prints out the picture instantly. some digital cameras have something called a screen that you can view pictures on. if you don't like the picture, delete it and you don't lose money. if you do, show it to everyone. when you get home, e-mail it, save it on hard drive or cd-r so it will last about forever, and print it with a photo printer.
Just today, Intel announced the release of the Pentium 5 processor. The new processor runs at 50 Ghz. It features a 300-stage pipeline. It will take 2 minutes for each instruction to complete on average. But to optomize, programmers can send 1800 intructions at a time, as long as they have no dependence on each other at all.
It's impossible to bomb Afganistan back into the stone age. Thay are already in the stone age, or worse. Even if it was possible, it would be the wrong thing to do. The enemies are the terrorists and the Taliban for harboring them and not helping to find and/or turn them over. Attacks on Afganistan aren't attacks on the Taliban. The Taliban does not represent the Afgani people. They are only the ruling party and only are there because they have the most weapons left over from the Soviet war. So unless the Taliban and/or terrorists are eliminated, nothing has been accomplished.
The reason broad laws are made is so that if someone is caught doing something wrong, there is a law to punish that person. If there is no law, the suspect has not legally done anything wrong. There isn't enough time to make specific laws, so broad laws are made instead and inforced when needed.
pretty much a guess about it:
If all the languages are integrated into one OS like they say, it souldn't be that hard. Either it will just play, or you could change the location/language.
sorry, i just had to

if you selll the software to someone else, you aren't the end user anymore, but instead a middle man. therefore, the eula doesn't apply to you
hmm... let's look at my, the customer's choices
keep using my linksys' nat; screw the cable company
pay an extra $5 a month for the same thing
the choice is obvious

quicktime is not free, it's $30

stay tuned
they might add support to quicktime for windows
not sure about linux
that means if you turn the brightness all the way down and don't do anything you will get 5 hours of battery life
the ibook 99 claimed to have 6 hours
i usually get around 4
no one reads license agreements
enough said
they're probably using it to test compatibility issues
not sure about using it for busy work
actually it would be more like
$60/year subscription to transgaming
plus $20/year for distros or $250 for cd burner
or
$20/month subscription to windows
plus $200 and maybe $100/year for upgrades

the rest of the world would not be happy with that
Imagine.

I think the StrongARM uses a lot less power than a Pentium processor.

it's 52 hours in EP mode, which has less fps than SP mode. the picture quality should be the same, but it won't be a smooth
