    I still liked my Turtle Beach card but I cannot afford a new one. I liked my audigy until it died. I want a new Reasonable cost sorround sound card instead of another mp3 player.

    So I agree new upgrade cards with that money!

    Oxygen can be scanned with a digital spectrograph can't it? I think I now have the ability of patening the process where two oxygen molecules combine with an Hydrogen molecule to create water.

    I am also patening carbon dioxide so all you who pollute better watch out!

    I live outside the city of Seattle and it is common to loose power at least twice a year because of limbs and trees falling in wind storms. I am looking at a solar battery backup but I do not get that much direct sun in the fall and winter. Many people have gas generators.

    Many people like science but are done for by the end of the day. After someone is working on a computer or digging a ditch many want to come home and veg. I love the science channels but it is hard sometimes to sit and watch something about string theory after a hard day's work. There are many people out there that would have to work hard watching these programs and would rather watch someone make a fool out of themselfs on The Apprentice.

    I have used Firefox for a while but it still is a little quirky on OS X. Even with that it still works better than IE. I have switched on my Mac, PC and Linux boxes.

    It would be hard the "X" prize isn't competing with a bunch of entrenched corporate behemoths. The oil company is not going to want to promote loosing them a good share of the market.

    I have traded playing games like Knights of the old republic instead of watching the inane crap on TV. I have had my limit of reality tv shows which are nothing like real life and most of the rest has little to no value. So can you really call it an addiction or just a different type of entertainment. I do not play or watch to the point that it takes away from my daily activities like upkeep on the house or work. True addiction is something that takes over your life.

    We still play infinity at work. There is a version called Aleph One that you can use to play it on OSX and Linux now. It can be downloaded at Bungie and also Source Forge. You will need some of the old game files or the demo to run it.

    The one we worry about is Rainier and when talking about densities in Seattle you also have to consider, Renton, Kent, Auburn, Puyallup, Sumner, Orting, Tacoma Olympia and others. So add all the densities in the area of the volcano's reach and it makes it worse. Than is if it blows out the Eastern side.

    Actually we in Seattle also get earthquakes but most are deep so you cant feel them. I'm not too worried about St. Helens its Mt. Rainer that I am waiting for. It is past its normal cycle of eruptions so its due.

    I would like to see if they could do it well but I would like to see a different timeline. Mabey the Sith wars or as the game had the Mandelorian wars or a new character after Luke.

    I fix this by first installing the os, installing a software firewall (close pretty much all ports) THEN patching. It is then up to you if you want to keep it installed or not. I have an older PC FTP machine in our office (the rest are OSX) and I found that in the time to patch Win 2000 I had four spy/mal wares installed. So I have determined that my new install on any OS anymore is 1) OS 2) Software Firewall (XP and OSX also come with one) 3) Norton System Works (does not work on OSX well).

    Every one wants the system but no one wants it in their backyard or pay for it. I would have to drive to a bus stop, or walk the 6 miles, then transfer twice to get to work. As dissfunctional as it is now it would take me 2 hours to ride the bus for a 40 minute drive. The train is great but only runs twice a day and people are turning light rail into a nightmare.

    Want to drive?

    I drive about 60miles a day round trip in traffic on I-5 in Seattle. I would love to take the train but my schedule does not allow for it.

    Give me a way where I can relax and go to work (telemarketing does not work in the ad agency I work for) and I will take it.

    I want to be able to hop into my car and say "Take me to work" then sit back talk on the phone, read or rest. Many people are already talking on the phone and reading while driving and their cars are not automatic!

    Actually there is methane because the martians pass alot of gass (to be crude - farting).

    I went with Firewire on one of my computers. All my drives are external and many are bootable as different Full OS systems.

    Hopefully Microsoft won't destroy firewire like they are trying to do to USB.

    Many of the PPV stations on cable and Direct TV let you pay once and watch it as many times on the channel within a 24 hour period. My parents have a DVD-R/VCR where she still records the movie for later use. So if TIVO resticts the time RECORD it. Personally I don't even keep files on my computer HD without backing up.
    Make sure you backup your tivo as if it was your computer.

    210lbs - How tall 5'4 ?

    Im 5'10" 180lbs ride every weekend Ski in the winter, Soccer in the Summer but my wife still calls me a geek. I play games quite often after everyone goes to bed.
