I never watched the 6th day, but the "Re-Pet" was used in Total Recall, before Arnold finds Recall. Nevermind, I was wrong. He sees Recall commercial on the commuter train to the rock query. I must have seen 6th day at one point in time.
Even with the new SKUs for the 360, Microsoft has still opted to leave OUT the HD-DVD player. Why? Worst case scenario. Blu-Ray wins. Microsoft releases a Blu-Ray add on for the 360.
FYI. Not a fan boy. I own all the consoles, have both HD-DVDs and Blu-Ray disks, and run them on a Mitsubishi 65" 1080P DLP.
I agree the comment about "freezing on purpose" is lame, but in this day and age, I often purchase things without seeing a demo.
Video cards, processors, new computers. Each can easily top $600 a punch. There is no "demo unit" waiting for me anywhere. There are warranties on products for just that reason.
Speaking to some chump kid working at BestBuy isn't a valid reason to NOT purchase something. I've played mine for hours, left it on and it's never locked up. The difference is mine isn't kept in an unventilated kiosk. My computer would lock up from heat (video locks) if the fans fail, why wouldn't a ps3?
Before the "fan boy" crap, I didn't wait in line for hours to get a PS3, it just happened to be available at a store. I did, however, wait for a Wii... but Zelda aside, has been somewhat disappointing.
Short answer: Save massive amounts of $$ of new hardware.
As a developer, it's VERY cost effective. Load OS, snapshot, configure, snapshot, load your app and test... if you find something, back off to previous snapshot (takes seconds) and load app again, test. Otherwise you're spending many hours reloading os (or ghosting) to get a 'virgin' test environment.
As I work solely in Linux (with exceptions of gaming), getting my windows environment for development / testing... power up the VM. "Pause" when done... seconds to boot and "sleep". If I want to move my dev windows environment, copy the files from my laptop to desktop... boot vmware with that image. woot!
You can also setup a virtual network, load 3-4 or 10 virtual machines (limited to your ram for the most part)... test out new servers (ie failover, load balancing, etc) without having 4 $4000 machines humming away.
As a user, it's easy... do anything "questionable" in a vm... if anything bad happends, blast that image (or reload back to a snapshot) and try again.
# Over a period of at least 6 months, recurrent, intense sexually arousing fantasies, sexual urges, or behaviors involving sexual activity with a prepubescent child or children (generally age 13 years or younger).
# The person has acted on these urges, or the sexual urges or fantasies cause marked distress or interpersonal difficulty.
# The person is at least age 16 years and at least 5 years older than the child or children in Criterion A."
Per another poster, there are TONS of Seniors in HS that date Freshmen... the age could easily be 19 to 14/15. With schools teaching sexual education in 7th grade now, the girl is quite aware of intentions.
Don't get me wrong, this does not excuse the boy if he actually forced himself on her.
1. Make development kits available. 2. Allow PSP's to run homebrew. Now I don't mean stolen ISOs or the like. 3. Start a community site so players can upload games.
3a. Offer the ability for a homebrew(r) to charge for their game ($1 here, $1 there).
3b. Sony can get a cut, profit for everyone!
I have a 1st generation PS2 (ie got it the DAY it came out)... it barely plays ANY PS1 games.
I noticed when purchasing the DVD Remote, it "upgraded" the DVD software by placing a new version on the memory card, but have yet to find something what "updates" the PS1 emulator/driver.
I started picking up some oldie, but goodie, games that I can't even play due to not owning a PS1 anymore. Those include the afore mentioned Castlevania, various Mega Mans and MK Trilogy.
Also think of it from a user stand point.
ICQ modifies their protocol... 30,000 users have to either a) download and install a new Trillian client or b) figure out how to install their new DLL replacement.
Jabber clients... do nothing... the server admin replaces the ICQ transport with the new working one an everyone is good as gravy.
Get someone to tune PostgreSQL next time.
hah! It's to bad no one else got this... and modded you down no less.

Beta Demo.
well well. Beta invites avail, send me one!

So an "apple" is threatened by a "worm"... you don't say.
Calling SL a game is like calling myspace a "first person shooter".
SL is a 3d social environment that gives the "residents" the ability to interact and create anything they choose.

Yes, I taunted many a person in Socom with a general USB keyboard.
Minus the Free Open Source, Neverwinter Nights.

"England Prevails"
Parliment better watch out... hear there's a train heading there loaded with fireworks and other things that go boom.

Welcome to the new world.
Certainly not a troll...
I can provide the serial number, version of the driver/emu and the specific games that do not work with the PS2 if needed.
Now all my PS2 games play perfectly fine with it, it's just PS1 games (not all, mind you).

Some of the most widely used Jabber Clients are released under the GPL.
