Contrary to popular American beliefs the United States of America is not the best country in the world.
It is, if you're employer and like to exploit your employees.
We've got an American at work in Europe, which I also had some dealings with when he was in our American office. Now that he's working in Europe, he's a totally different guy. The people that work for him actually likes him now, compared to when he was in US and all his people were afraid of him. It's like night and day! I think most Americans would benefit from working a couple of years in Europe.
Friend of mine is Doctor working for the UK National Heath Service and he's told me about how they can be offered cash incentives for prescribing certain drugs, particularly antidepressants.
And there's the reason why incentives are illegal in Norway!
"Up to" doesn't mean "median" or "mean". "Up to" means "up to", as in "maximum".
That being said, it is rather sneaky to advertise a product by focusing on a theoretical maximum that you may (or may not) experience on the rarest of occasions. It's kind of like selling a limited service as "unlimited". But no one would ever do that, right?
I'm glad my ISP says "at least" instead of "up to". So, when I pay for "at least" 10/10, I'm close to 13/14. Life is good on fibre!
Why are you always going off to search for the next great thing if Debian is so good?
I've dual booted myself, but only to try out different distros (like debian, ubuntu, etc) - I've never been "off to search for the next great thing". If you're happy with what you've got - stick with it. New distros tend to be either specialised in one field, or tweaked beyond useful (read ubuntu). Stick with the good old ones, that you know work, and try to help them instead!:o)
If your dick is fat, then probably the rest of you is equally fat. That means that you require more energy to be stuffed into your mouth every day. The energy to produce that edible energy, is probably making sure that you're not the winner against the skinny people in their cars when it comes to pollution.

KDE in slackware works perfectly out of the box. Might not be the latest version they're using, but it's most likely the most stable one.
If SpaceX can break it's ties from the government through contracts and cheap launches, then we will be to Mars in my lifetime. However, if they get roped into the political games that so many defense contractors and other space companies do, then America is screwed for a mission to Mars. Right now, the single greatest threat to space explorations is the United States Congress. It really is that simple.
Take a look at the launch manifest on their homepage. It's not like it's all NASA activity.
Diesel cars that are sold in Europe do not usually have expensive exhaust after-treatments, and those models are too dirty for California's emissions regulations.
It's required by law in Norway, and the last time I checked, Norway is still in Europe
because this happens after you download a source tar-ball:
C:\TAR\BALL\>configure
'CONFIGURE' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

I came here to avoid posting, but now you ruined that!
Will have to spend my mod-points elsewhere!

They are - in the same expansion pack that let's you go to soldier burials with signs that says "God hate fags!"
Well... what have you learned? They never are!

(Personally, I'm sticking with Slackware)
so... you could find 5 that are cheaper - his comment is still valid! Let me repeat it "one of".
And we also have free school and health services
It worked for that guy in doom 2!

Because for every one of you, there are 10 (or more) folks that are not techy's and appreciate the richer UI.
Do not forget techy's that like using rich UIs too.
What's the point having a gun if you're not gonna use it? Better sell it and get some beers instead!

The space shuttle was never designed to leave the earths gravity well
Or, is it because they've sold the phone to the potential buyers, and the ones buying iPhone 4, are the same as the ones that already have one?
If you want to contact somebody that is not aware of your existence, you'll have to send a message first!
the worst part of a modern touch phone is typing while driving!
I don't see the issues you're listing in my "KDE4" install.
Could it be the distro guys, and not the KDE guys' fault?
I've been loving KDE4 more than 3.5.10 since 4.3.something

I don't see KDE4 as a fiasco. It was clearly stated by the developers that they didn't recommend using it in any distro.
The failure wasn't by KDE but the people maintaining the distros!
And a friend of mine tells me she "want's that iPhone you have!", which is a HTC Desire.
Well... I never play multiplayer, so I've just stopped playing all together!
