Contrary to popular American beliefs the United States of America is not the best country in the world.

It is, if you're employer and like to exploit your employees.

We've got an American at work in Europe, which I also had some dealings with when he was in our American office. Now that he's working in Europe, he's a totally different guy. The people that work for him actually likes him now, compared to when he was in US and all his people were afraid of him. It's like night and day! I think most Americans would benefit from working a couple of years in Europe.

"Up to" doesn't mean "median" or "mean". "Up to" means "up to", as in "maximum".

That being said, it is rather sneaky to advertise a product by focusing on a theoretical maximum that you may (or may not) experience on the rarest of occasions. It's kind of like selling a limited service as "unlimited". But no one would ever do that, right?

I'm glad my ISP says "at least" instead of "up to". So, when I pay for "at least" 10/10, I'm close to 13/14. Life is good on fibre!

I've dual booted myself, but only to try out different distros (like debian, ubuntu, etc) - I've never been "off to search for the next great thing". If you're happy with what you've got - stick with it. New distros tend to be either specialised in one field, or tweaked beyond useful (read ubuntu). Stick with the good old ones, that you know work, and try to help them instead! :o)
