    Was just outside for a fag, and I can still see the big dipper right above me (Chelsea, London) but looking towards Heathrow, the clouds are gathering, and the colour doesn't look good!

    Excuse me - you've visited many time machines before, have you? Just because it doesn't fit your imagery, doesn't mean that it's not the way it is supposed to be. The entire set fits into the Dr.Who universe. A set taken out of shows like star trek or star wars would be even worse than what it's now. I like it. The set doesn't pretend to be anything other than a Dr.Who set, which is good.

    As long as you have true political freedom, some legislation to keep the big corporates in check is not a bad thing at all. There is no need for 100% economical freedom, as that actually requires no government at all.

    Yeah, and now is the time Sony is starting to make money for each console sold, and not just the games...

    Anyhow... I'd totally forgotten I had gentoo installed on my PS3 before I thought of it, reading this article. It's not like it's much use compared to the Studio Hybrid that's running slackware and XBMC next to it in the stereo rack.

    When it comes to banking, UK / US isn't much different. When people talk about Europe in the Banking world, they are talking about the bit connected with Asia.

    Yes, I live in UK, but I still use my Norwegian bank account and debit card as it's cheaper than getting a British one.

    Or if I don't want to use the credit card - I just don't buy it, and save the money I would've spent.

    Oh, and you don't need a smartphone to do banking via the phone either. It's been done with land lines for 15-20 years now.

    What cracks me up is that everytime somebody says "computer this" and "computer that" everybody is comparing it to a desktop / laptop.

    It's not going to be something you have instead of your computer at the office, or your gaming rig at home.
