Please, don't confuse "western economy" and "US economy" - they are two different things, but you are correct in that US eceonomy is (or soon used to be) a part of the western economy.

However, these same theories are what led people to consider the possibility of black hole production in the first place. If those theories are taken away, then the reason for concern also disappears.
What I haven't seen is a person that understand the current theories, argue for the possibility of a black hole that could swallow the earth being generated by the LHC. I choose to believe the people who understand the theories.
Thing is - you don't know what to look for, so you don't know if you find it or not. So why not concentrate on the things you already know before broadening the horizon when it comes to stuff like this?

This is too new to have any impact on the general health of Norwegians. It wasn't like that 10 years ago - but you still probably had your family doctor. I know I did.
