    I don't know what's happening with Firefox and Ubuntu, but I do know that if it does get replaced with IceWeasel, I'll either

    1. Download it from some 3rd party website
    2. Download the source, compile it, package it up and host it on my website

    And to be honest I'd encourage everyone else to do the same. I'm really not trying to troll, I just don't want to one day find a vulnerability or incompatibility in IceWeasel that's not in Firefox.

    Everyone knows that You Tube has loads of copyrighted material that shouldn't be there. With this in mind, why would Google buy it and risk having their ass sued off? I wouldn't have bought it if I'd had the money for this one reason, but for some reason Google have done. Maybe they'll just remove all the copyrighted material or just charge a subscription for it?

    Basically all it boils down to is that You Tube is the biggest video site on the net which Google now control and Microsoft are just pissed because they've just lost out on the biggest multimedia opportunity of this decade.

    I don't see any reason why video.google can't merge with youtube and fix youtubes problems.

    Or simply just redirect everyone that clicks on Google Video to You Tube. That's what I'd do, but then again I'm lazy. Bite me.

    All Google have to say is they'll take anything down when the copyright holder (and only the copyright holder) complains. eBay has this policy similar to this, but still kick up a fuss when they're asked to take stuff down (Live 8 tickets last year for example).

    In the UK there are quite a few places you can buy iTunes Gift Cards / Vouchers (Tesco, Sainsbury, Argos). Coca-Cola are doing a promotion at the moment where you get a free download from iTunes with each bottle bought. Of course this is limited to 3 per household and you also need to like Coca-Cola*

    You also need to have an iPod and iTunes.

    *This isn't strictly true as you could buy the bottle for the voucher and give away the drink, or not drink it at all

    Most of the hardware costs would be there anyway as part of a normal IT refresh cycle.

    I somehow doubt they'd upgrade Jenny in HR to a Vista ready machine when she can do her job with a 512MB Celeron, do you?

    If the employees are only doing basic things like writing Office Documents, then the chances are they'll have a stock Dell desktop computer. In the UK they can sell for under £400 (it might even be £300). These machines have integrated audio and video and probably use either Pentium III or Celeron processors with 512MB RAM.
    If a company wanted to upgrade all its machines to Vista they'd first need to buy computers that support the minimum requirements, unless Vista support machines with integrated audio and video. How much does a computer cost that meets the minimum hardware requirements?
