    The only reason you have hardware-based decoding with h.264 is because Intel/AMD/Nvidia were ask/told/paid to do so.
    If someone adds WebM hardware-based decoding, people will flock to it.

    I was thinking of the same but we can't do that even if it was easily feasible a-la-Unobtanium.
    If the moon had a magnetic field it would either be attracted to or repelled from the earth.

    IOW: The moon would eventually crashes into the Earth or we would have a "Space 1999" scenario where the moon leaves the earth.

    If someone knows what is the centrifugal force on the moon keeping the gravitation force at bay are, I'd love to know that I'm wrong.

    -War on drugs (which helps drug and weapons manufacturers profits, while ruining lives of the common person)

    -War on terror (which helps weapons manufacturers profits and removes freedoms for the common person)

    -DMCA/ACTA or "war on music and art" (Prevents new works from existing that are based on old works, locks in profits for RIAA/MPAA/etc. indefinitely)

    -Justifies torture in secret (Water boarding, sleep deprivation, "Black sites", during Watergate =>drugged MARTHA MITCHELL )

    The USA is not the "angel" it was during WWII.

    If it truly was a 2 party system then you would not be groped at airports by the government.

    At best you have the Dems afraid of the insane Reps.
    At worst and most likely you have 2 sides of the same coin play fighting as if Washington was the WWE/WWF. and Corps are paying the Critters to "fight".

    It's all bread and circuses. you can try to vote for a 3rd party but you cannot win. Easily-tampered electronic voting machines without a paper trail make sure of that. Then there's Florida...

    It sound funny now but in a future when implants could be a popular as an iPhone, this could happen.

    The only reason we see this ludicrous use of copyright is because the music business is saturated and is competing amongst other distractions (e.g. Internet, TV, sex, drugs, etc). As the competition increases, so will the abuses by useless middlemen.

    Google does not call their language "Java" and with GPL V2, copyright issues are moot
    With GPL v3, Patents are moot as well.

    Oracle has no case but they must press on or be sued by their own stockholders.

    This is just lowering the bar so that dumb people feel smart!
    This does 2 things:
    -Makes US High School Diplomas worthless (Hey, if the illiterate can get through HS, why would I want to hire one with a HS Diploma?)
    -Gives a false sense of confidence when they go to college.(Results: more drop outs)

    But there's money in those downloaders pockets. A few laws and procedures are not going to stop "The suing rush". Pan-handling in the courts has worked well in a few courts in the states so it should work well in the UK.
