Currently Moz or Thund. cannot manage contacts anywhere near like OLK. -You can't print 20 to a page -you don't have the same number of fields. -phone numbers to auto re-format themselves when you type them in. -etc. If this was fixed, I would jump in a heart beat.
Why can't we have extensions that don't die just because they changed the release number?
Extension authors can't keep up. Mozilla Update is slow to update itself. and Users like me are left looking to google for help. Silly me thought Mozilla Update there to centralized things.
I switch back and forth between OOo at home and MSO at work. -I always save in MSO format and never get conversion issues. -I do find it annoying to go back to MSO: I have to type all long words fully, again and again. -OOo 2.0 beta fixes most of my minor nuisances.
One gripe: -I'm waiting for an OLK clone to manage contacts.
Once that happens, HD-DVD will have a bad rep with Joe-consumers. -Joe-consumer will just stick with regular DVDs because he can't see the difference and doesn't want to risk being stuck with a dead player that HE paid for. -HD-DVD will die as a movie-rental medium.
Alas no. The price of electricity is not high enough for using the the cold outdoors to make chiled water during the winter and then switch back to refrigeration for summer. But electicity prices are starting to go up...
This is why Me and My wife don't watch new shows that much. It kill continuity and the feel of the shows. This is why DVD releases of TV shows are so popular.
My grandma used to be a maid. She would clean everything. Then one day, she said that she wouldn't do windows anymore. It became a trend and today few maids clean windows. Window cleaners to the dreaded work.
I use to do lots of maintenance on the PCs at work and home. But now I don't spend time cleaning out viruses and spyware. Why?
Because I don't do Windows anymore, and my life is easier for it! You should too.
Never ending copyrights are good only for the xxAA. That is not advancing human kind. With laws like that Fair Use is dead. GPL'd S/W makes it so that ANYONE can benefit.
I guess you think all P2P users would pay for all that stuff they DL'd. Sometimes it's the only way to get some remixes or old stuff since RIAA and friends ignore that market.
Artists sign because they feel it's the only way to get $.
Granted it's not a perfect situation but the xxAAs don't want to change anything because they will loose what really matters to them: Control.
People are sick of being controlled, manipulated and ripped off. Yes, the labels will suffer and die but will musicians stop making music? 'Course not! True-artists don't need Labels, they just need an outlet and the Internet gives them that.
Talk about "loose morals and corrupting influences" and how BJs isn't sex.
Ever since that happened, Teens say a BJ isn't sex.
And love that humidor for those cigars!
In france they have (or at least had) one hour of commercials on their channel (Saturday at supper). It was the most viewed time slot for the whole week!
Tivo, however, could create an "Ads Channel" where if you watch it, you pay less on your monthly. To keep viewers honest AND interested make it interactive like having a short survey at the end of the commercial. They could even make it a game or a game-show (name the advertized product!)
What they have done instead is given their user-base a reason to hack their TIVO box or bail right out of their revenue stream!
For businesses, you might want to have it done for liability (read insurance) but the rate are low enough that it might not be worth the trouble to do it yourself for big jobs.
I remember doing the odd cable in a place I worked at. We just used plenum cable in the suspended ceiling in case it was used as a return for the ventilation.
As far as I know, you don't need a permit either way.
In government places, however, you don't touch the wires in the walls. It's a union thing...
I guess this explains why Macrovision is dumping the InstallShield name and replacing it with Macrovision.

if you can stand the headaches from the microwaves...
The cache got updated very quickly
I guess Walmart got a little help...
I take it you don't watch "law and order".
Well intentioned laws will ALWAYS be twisted to fit the cause of crooks.
Doctor Evil (from Austin Powers) must be jealous.

Change MAC address of my nic
Try again. (probably wait until the other guy shuts off his Laptop, though.)
Government hypocrisy at its best.

I don't know for you but for some reason
MS suing the spammers reminds me of
that MS vs. the Borg skit.
Difference it that I don't know if I should cheer for either side. (both are still evil)

You should too.
For greedy people that is.
In that case GPL is not for you.
Was Einstein greedy?
Was DVD Jon greedy?
Was Linus greedy?
You get the point.
I take it you don't watch much Star Trek...

/. roots for the underdog.
-If the GPL wins, everybody wins except the greedy corps. (unless they use\contribute to GPL software.)
-IF the xxAA wins, fat middlemen get a new mansion for exploiting artists.
Either way, it's greed vs. advancing human kind.
If it was anybody else, he would fight on.

Give it 10years:
-in USA, they'll tolerate titties on TV
But in france, they'll be fornicating on TV

At least this is the user's choice.
Bloat then becomes a consequence of the user's choices and not something forced upon the user by the developer.
