An American Officer runs up to his superior and says excitedly: "Sir, Sir! The Soviets have painted the moon red, what should we do?"
After a little contemplation the man replied: "Take a bucket of white paint to the moon and write Coca Cola on it."

While I am not sure who DJ Shadow is, I do know that the exact same melodie and beat are used in a track by 'Swollen Members' called 'Fuel Injected', which is a pretty nice Hip Hop song

Generally all mainboards nowadays have a function in the BIOS, that allows you to turn the Computer on using your keyboard (either by pressing any key, or by typing your BIOS password).
    Should be under Power management.

I mean importing beer to the Soccer World Cup which is taking place in a country that makes the best beer seems pretty stupid and insulting... I mean Soccer and good beer go hand in hand! Shame on the Fifa!

  8. Re:400 Songs Nothing on Rumors of Mini iPods · · Score: 1

So your mp3's have an avg. size of about 1,2 megs? At 200kbit/s that is not even an avg of one minute per song. What do you listen to? Only the refrain of the songs?

  9. Chick wear? on Chic Gear to Suit Net Generation · · Score: 1

Do geeks have to wear bras and skirts to be considered 'up to date'?
I'd hate to see Cowboy Neal follow that trend...

  11. Media on Former Intel Employee 'Disappeared' by U.S. · · Score: 3, Insightful

What will be interesting is the media coverage. I mean, most people in the US are probably not aware that such a thing is possible and might, just *might* be a bit angered about this kind of StaSi-type of behaviour. Or maybe they'll just think "wow, great! Got another one of those terrorist bastards!"
I think one should seriously consider the option of moving to Russia...

  14. Re:Then write drivers that don't crash on Windows XP To Block Use Of "Troublesome" Drivers · · Score: 1

The drivers are not necessarily going to crash, they might just not be certified just yet. It's a hassle for the developer to go through MS to certify every single one of their drivers. If I want to install a driver I should be able to. A warning message is perfectly fine, at least I have a choice.

  18. Re:CD anti-piracy is like Babel Tower on Sony Sells Defective, Damaging CDs in Eastern Europe · · Score: 1

Audio CD's were never meant to have any copyright protection, and that is why they never will have. Because effective protection would be incompatible with half of the players and compatible "protection" is cracked within days. (see macrovision's new protection). But I think secretly they are trying a new strategy, and that is "crappy-content protection". Meaning, if the actual songs suck a lot, no one is going to want to have the CD, effectively making no one want to copy it. It's working with me... :)
