There are A LOT of companies still running NT on both servers and workstations, last time I was in a major server room at Big Blue, well I won't name clients, but several large name clients have NT based server solutions. Yes I know blocking certain ports will stop it from getting in, but there is still potential for many NT systems not to have those ports blocked now, or in the future.
If a system outside the modem/router can't access port 135 on the machine in question, you are REASONABLY safe for a few minutes until you have time to install the update.
Not installing a free update to fix a problem like this is just asking for trouble.

The author of a Mac game called Glider worked for a company called Casady & Greene. He seems to believe that since the company went bankrupt, the rights have reverted back to him as the author.
I guess this would hold true so long as they didn't sell or assign the rights elsewhere.
Even then, regardless of the answer, you can still be taken to court and it will be up to a judge.

Maybe not, but when I worked in a software store one lady came in to return a piece of software and said if she didn't her boss would fire her for wasting money on useless software.
label CD? When I first posted that I was boycotting the RIAA because of their anti-consumer actions, I meant it. I am not pirating it, I am simply not purchasing it until they grow up and realize they can't sue 60% of the US.

I just started looking for a site on the net with 'stop sweating' but realized the hot IT chick I work with will be looking through logs of the sites I visited, you only get once chance to make a first impression!
While showing them how to use Google can be important, they should be given options and let them decide what is best for their purposes. While I prefer Google, they may not.
I locked my parents start page to google some time ago and now they think 'google' is the Internet.
I know people who have that, I just wait for them to call me, you think you're that popular that we're gonna sit on hold for 6 minutes and go through 18 different options?
There was a star trek voyager episode that dealt with this, where a society that had never heard music before was amazed by the Doctors singing ability. At the end they designed another hologram that was superior to the Doctor's singing ability, however it lacked any feeling or emotion. Thought, feelings, and much more goes in to music, until they perfect that chess program... we don't have to worry about computers taking over the airwaves yet.
except that unless you actually logged out (as opposed to being logged in and choosing 'post anonymously' your mods will be removed.
That we may never get rid of this worm completely, at least not for a long time...
Patches for the hole, except for Windows NT 4.0, which the company no longer supports, were put online by Microsoft.

Don't think they won't start suing companies who use Linux and don't license...

Insider trading is buying/selling stock based on information you have that is not publically available.
This isn't a troll, I was on the phone with a customer and I loaded /. and I began laughing out loud. They're fuxing insane.

Perhaps if you can afford the copy of PhotoShop or have a business reason.
Gimp however will remain popular with those as myself who have no business need for PhotoShop and can't afford the $$$ for it.

Again you're misinformed or retarded.
He created a search engine for his campus network, it didn't search for music files only, it searched for ALL files.
