  1. Side Effects on Neural Feedback Training as Therapy for ADHD? · · Score: 1

Please be carefull with any side effects. My son has ADHD and we have tried ALL the drugs and even combinations to try and get rid of the side effects - all to no avail. We finally decided that we would take him off all the medication because he was being teased and felt bad and hid his face when ever he could feel the faciakl ticks. Today he is doing much better (he is going on 12 now) which could be due to his body changing (all the doctor's we have seen say that they could grow out of it). You must do what is best for your daughter.

That's part of being Canadian - bending over backwards while the goverment rams it in sideways! Seriously, I have already filed my comments and urge all Canadians to do the same using the proper format laid out in the document.

Acutally I just read the PDF and sent my well informed comments to the e-mail address given. It's not just the USA lawmakers that can pass stupid laws so we have to do our part to try and stop them. And yes, I had my back bacon sandwich before I sent my comments!

This makes sense. When I was in College for Electronics we had people scoring 95-99 on the written test (book smart) but blowing up projects in the Labs! Just shows you that scoring high on a written test does not mean you can apply what you read to real world situations.

Why not hack for fun on one of the Linux projects underway. When you leave your boring job at the end of the day with money to live on, hack for fun to unwind after work!! It's an alternative to bring the fun back.

  8. Re:Why this confidential Windows License? on Why We Can't Just Get Along: The Bootloader · · Score: 1

The reason for this is that the manufacturers get each Windows license for as fraction of the cost of a boxed product. That would easily add $75 or more to the cost of the unit if they used boxed products.

In Ontario (Think Toronto - BlueJays) we get better weather than Buffalo NY !! Less snow, slightly warmer temperatures and tons of industry no matter what field you are in - computers, film (think Hollywood North - actually this is used), etc. Universal Health Care - Doctor's visits, Emerg visits, surgery - all paid for with tax dollars (no you know why we pay so MUCH tax).

While some of the laws in Canada are REALLY stupid, nothing even comes close to the USA passing the DMCA. When a Russia programmer, who is doing nothing illegal in his country, comes to the good old US of A to give a TALK - the FBI comes in - what the hell kind of law allows that?!?
