try the tactic of asking in a sexy voice "what are you wearing" and other creepy stuff. Some of the stammering replies or total silence can be just as amusing. I am sure they have been abused and insulted so much that most of the insults just wash right over them so I like to try and get them off balance when I am looking to end the call quickly due to being busy. I am surprised they haven't got my number blocked in their systems as I must cost them a lot of time/money.
manipulating the market isn't illegal in itself. Only certain methods of doing it are, e.g. using insider information, releasing fake news to drive prices up or down etc. Publishing opinions no matter how biased or self interested is not illegal (though unethical).
I enjoy getting the scam calls, they used to annoy me but now I try to take them as a personal challenge for how long I can keep them on the line for wasting their time. I even have an Isolated VM I will give them access to if needed. Man the last one I had from the "windows department" a few weeks ago only lasted about 10 mins but you should have heard the tirade of abuse he yelled at me when he realised he was being led on, probably didn't help his emotional state when I started laughing at the abuse rather than getting offended. Best I have managed is about 20 mins with the "insurance accident department", had them trying to process my payment from the sample credit card test numbers. The Tax department one I gave up on as I didn't have enough information ready at the time to lead them on.
that is not a US specific problem, the standards that allow that spoofing are utilised worldwide, the problem is it actually has legitimate purposes it just needs some additional controls placed over the top to prevent the scumbags from abusing, sadly that is a massive task to retrofit that.
They don't have to keep any such database. The content of the message could include metadata that links to the originating WhatsApp client. By having access to one of the phones that received the message it can be opened and traced to the client, there is still no record of anything else anyone sent except on the devices themselves so the only information about messages sent is from the devices they have access to. WhatsApp has no information apart from linkage and the cops have no information apart from the messages they already have access too.
The benefit is that it doesn't allow Big Brother to quietly track everything.
neither does a unique identifier only stored client side with the message and better still it doesn't subject thousands of people to privacy invasive searches..
India has a serious problem at the moment with malicious rumours spread by social media where the intent is to get people injured or killed. tracability with a warrant I don't see as a breach of privacy or security as the person put it out to the world for everyone to see intentionally anyway, no where does it say you have a right to anonymously causes such mischief. All WhatsApp need to do is attach unique identifiers to messages when created so that when forwarded they can be traced back to the source, obviously the police already have the message so they don't need to break encryption or breach anyones privacy, what they need to know is who started the whole shitshow X that got Y people murdered.
Wasn't making any particular point, just informing the deluded OP who seems to be under the mistaken impression that maglev is not capable of such acceleration.
maglev is artificially limited in acceleration and deceleration to protect the passengers. really it is a very big rail gun that could easily accelerate at speeds that are dangerous/deadly for the passengers. so getting to speed and back again is not a problem, getting to speed and down again with passengers intact is another matter.
I think the problem now more so than in the past is people are monetising those roms and emulators and they are in direct competition to Nintendos own offerings be they rebundled on new hardware or packaged up on stuff like the NES classic and SNES. Previously you really had to have a little bit of a clue what you were doing to use those roms, now with things like retro pi you can basically get them all plus a working console and not have given Nintendo a cent.
Of course, an article about a controversial person, such as the current US president, may well be spiked with distortions. Such articles draw very emotional editors. We all know that and are cautious in our acceptance. But reading about most subjects should be reasonably worthwhile.
This is actually the core problem with Wikipedia, you do not want emotional or bias editors, you want people interested in recording facts. Sadly this means Wikipedia is extremely biased in anything slightly controversial or polarizing, political and conflict related and this applies for anything current or historical. That is a lot of very important content that is completely untrustworthy on Wikipedia.
unfortunately citations are often just as wrong or biased. basically without good reference of who is editing/writing the material and therefore controlling the content you shouldn't trust it. It can be handy for fast answers on shit that really doesn't matter, but using it for anything of value even with citations is dodgy as hell.
There is no statute of limitations once charges are drawn up. I.e. you can't just run from authorities till the charges expire. The Statute of limitations is around how long they have to file charges.
There are still plenty of people that treat Cisco like they used to treat IBM back in the 80's and 90's where they believe Cisco is the safe bet. Hell I constantly argue with one of the networking guys at one of the places I contract into as he believes everything is shit except for Cisco.
why? most of what you eat has been genetically modified by humans, either through selective breeding for animals or crops, very few things we eat today are in the state they existed when discovered. The only difference with this particular method is it is faster and less error prone. So really almost everything should be labelled as GMO.
it wasn't a cargo ship, it wasn't travelling between ports. It was on patrol with the fleet and was damaged in the initial battle and then left the fleet to head back to port in Vladivostok which isn't far. It really makes no sense whatsoever to have that much gold on a patrolling warship.
you wouldn't, and even if you did you would not leave it behind and scuttle it while the rest of the fleet steamed off. basically most sane historians believe it is just a myth/rumour and no evidence has ever been found to suggest there was ever gold on it. I guess though we will know for certain soon.
yep, given the ship was basically left behind by the fleet and scuttled I would seriously doubt the gold exists. No way they would have left them behind in such a situation, nor are they likely to have put everything in one ship like that, especially a warship that would be targeted by the enemy.
probably from all their desperate sales to bring shoppers back. There doesn't seem to be a week that goes buy without ebay subsidising a sale for one large vendor or another with 20% discounts. I am guessing a lot of people are sick of the scammers, the overpriced items and are simply more aware of the alternatives out their. hell 90% of the shit on ebay (and amazon for that matter) is just Aliexpress stuff with 500% markup in price.

When it comes to languages not all tools are created equal.

choice for what? if you label all the stuff that is GMO just about everything will have a label on it. your choice will be starve or eat GMO.
you suck at maths. it is 3250 metric tons.

Just say NO to luddites

should be easy to find out as their remains should still be pinned to the ocean floor with the Gold Anchors they took with them.

that's an "UP TO 15 drops", it may break on the first!
