Well, they are trying and already have something in place. Of course, when they introduced it, you needed to be a Bell satellite subscriber to even sign up but after a few months they removed that requirement. Unlike Netflix Canada, however, they only have a handful of movies. They seem to have all James Bond movies, the classic Blade Runner movie and... that seems to be it. If you like TV shows from the 90's, however, there's plenty of those (Seinfeld, Cheers, etc). They also have Star Trek: Discovery and all the older Trek series.
I'm guessing the main reason they're fed up with pirates is that they have Star Trek: Discovery on CraveTV but Canadians are pissed off that it's not available on Netflix Canada (unlike every other country besides the U.S.A.) and most don't want to subscribe to another streaming service besides Netflix.
Québec also wants to block sites. The province recently introduced a provincial law that would force internet providers to block users' access to online gambling sites not approved by the government. It argues the legislation is necessary to ensure internet gambling companies maintain responsible gaming rules.
Loto-Québec also wants to block sites. The provincial crown corporation recently introduced a provincial law that would force internet providers to block users' access to online gambling sites not approved by the government. It argues the legislation is necessary to ensure internet gambling companies pay their fees.
FTFY.
I can't even remember the number of times I read "Offer not valid in Québec" in the rules of contests I wanted to enter. They have crazy high requirements so most companies don't even bother and just say we can't participate.
If I learned anything from TV, it's that a Quantum Leap sends you in an alternate Universe. Maybe they're hoping to push everyone into a reality where Firefox stayed relevant and Chrome never existed.
Any fan will hate new stuff that disregards the old stuff and replaces it with something completely different. Imagine a new Star Wars reboot where The Empire are the good peaceful guys and the resistance are terrorist assholes?
ST:D changed the klingons so much that it craps on all the previous ST series and movies. "Oh, but the Klingons changed from TOS to TNG" and that was clearly explained in Enterprise.
Fuck hollywood and fuck the new ST reboots (the new movies too - great actors, crappy stories).
"Lucky Canadians. While the rest of the world has to figure out the right app to download and how to stream it to their TV, Canadians are just chilling. If you live in Canada, you can watch Star Trek: Discovery on the Space Channel, starting Sunday, September 24 at 8:30PM ET. Each episode will air on subsequent Sundays at 8:30PM ET.
If you can’t catch Discovery at its regular date and time, each episode can be found through participating On Demand channels, as well as the Space Go app. If you are anti-Space Channel, you can stream the series through the CraveTV* streaming service starting Monday, September 25 at 10PM ET. Of course, access to Discovery on the CraveTV app requires a monthly subscription fee to the service."
* CraveTV is a Canadian subscription video on demand service owned by Bell Media.
So it seems we're not getting Star Trek: Discovery via Netflix either. Fuck you, Bell Media.
I should be in that group too, but somehow, I'm pretty sure Netflix Canada won't have it because CRTC or some other bullshit like an exclusive cable/satellite deal that also includes streaming.
Every time I hear about security, viruses and hacks, it's done via "opcodes", "registers" and "bits". Isn't it time we design more secure processors without these flaws?
Bell Canada is pissed off that Canadians won't subscribe to CraveTV to watch Star Trek: Discovery.
Canadians are pissed off that Bell Canada got Star Trek: Discovery, instead of Netflix Canada.

Haven't Microsoft users switched to Edge by now?
A logo isn't supposed to look like a coat of arms. Branding has to be easily recognizable in all forms, such as a tiny 16x16 favicon.

Can't happen. This is after Enterprise, where the Klingons changed in appearance because of the augment virus and the cure for it.

Maybe it's replacing ' with ’ ?
That was part of the "we don't get enough sleep" joke, you west-coast clod.

Title starts with "banned books" and then shifts to "most-censored"... Japan doesn't seem to ban sex and porn even though they have censor laws.
Don't ever show these parents the mangas they have in Japan. They'll die from overexposure to nudity and sex the likes they've never seen before.
Thank you Ted, that was the joke.
Found something online:

I think you just explained 99.7843% of anime.
