The OP is factually correct and does not even discuss race. Watch any documentary about gangs. The guys that started the trend tell you it comes from their lives spent in prison. You are projecting your own racism upon the comment.
Until every man's exhaled breath and excrement is completely contained in a bag that he carries with him for life, there is no such thing as a free market.
This attitude is why all of Ford's best cars are only sold in Europe and not in the US. In the days before cars, you would have asked for a faster horse.
We use Covad VOIP in the office. No complaints here about delay. Once in a full blue moon a call will come in sounding like static noise, but I don't know if that's on our end or someone else's telephone system.
FFS, the standard Slashdot reply to a new Apple product has made it to the thread. This device just works. Failure is not defined as not using your particular connection method. This device connects to a standardized ecosystem, streams h.264 video and reaches out online to a couple of reputable for-pay services. It's incredibly compact and affordable. I can put Apple TV units in a few rooms of the house for the price of a PC strung up to a single TV without the hassle of VLC and none of the weight of a chip on my shoulder.
If you're that much of an emotional cripple that you think an advertisement relevant to your interests is so horrible, you probably have no business on this site, what with its strong slant toward freedom, libertarianism and repulsion toward govt. regulation.
This sort of happened to me. I went into an office building in New York City with a good amount of security. They ran my bag through the x-ray machine and saw the small pocket knife I left in there. They took it out to inspect and didn't care because it's something lots of people probably carry for convenience. Well, it turns out there was a much bigger hunting knife in a compartment behind the small knife (nothing nefarious, just needed to cut some ropes). However, because they found the tiny pocket knife first, they stopped searching my bag.
My house sat unoccupied for about three years before I bought it. There are some hastas, rhododendrons, lilies and other misc. flowering plants around the outside of the house. And a lawn (that gets mowed). The way I see it, any plants around my house that had to make it on their own for a few years outlived the weak ones and don't need my help. I have never watered my lawn or any plants. I don't do weeding, I don't do thinning, I don't do squat, except mow the lawn every other week (and that is outsourced). I will not waste resources on outdoor vegetation that I don't eat.
Bullshit. Defending yourself is a completely different scenario.

Yeah, I need to disagree. It slows things down on my work laptop. I so want to replace Mcaffee on this machine and use MS Security Essentials like I have at home. Microsoft actually put out an AV scanner that doesn't feel like a lead weight.
I have no problem telling someone their culture is wrong if it is wasteful and unsustainable. We're all the same species, created equal and therefore qualified to comment on one another.
Lucky Leo's at Seaside Height has a "classic" arcade room off from its main one. I only ever go there in the dead of winter to avoid the "Jersey Shore" crowd.
It helps indirectly. Stock trading on the secondary market (ie, anything that isn't an IPO) gives the original investors liquidity and allows them to make new investments.
I've purchased 3 "consumer model" Dell computers (2 laptops and 1 desktop) over the years and each one came with a proper installation disk, not a recovery disk. Although they are OEM disks that are "keyed" to Dell computers, there is no activation process. So, as long as you can find a Dell model that suits your needs, you can use the OEM disks to upgrade your OS now and then.

This. I highly recommend the documentary they did on their secret visit to North Korea.

Let's hope so.
I heard Battletoads is coming out for the Wii and you can reserve a copy by calling Gamestop.
I agree. They completely gave it oral sex.

I had to read this a second time, but slower.
I'll take it a step further, why are people playing with dozens of codecs?

If all those kids are getting caught in the harvesting machines, I could imagine them having problems.

If you disregard the significance of an individual ego, then death is a biological process that helps sustain life.
They're called taxis. You get in and use voice commands to tell it where to go. Or, hop on a bus and take a pre-determined route.
