You see, they *are* being fought by the rules. You just happen to not like them. The legal system has indeed become ponderous, but things are playing out in a way that is to be expected.
It isn't about Windows developing truly new and innovative features. It's about them increasing their already strong lock down on the market. If they get enough people to use some of these new technologies to create content/applications, and if said content/applications can only be accessed by Windows, then voila! Shored up market share.
Exactly my point. My organization has 30 people reporting up to me, we service all of North America. It's *very* stressful, but it really doesn't get to me much because of my family.
I never said they think like males do. You're the one who is brainwashed by all of the naysaying geeks who are just bitter because they can't find a good one;)
Seven years and still getting better every day. It takes work but it's worth it.
Or you could do what I did and marry a loving, supportive woman. Not only will you want to work hard to help support her, but the love and emotional support she'll give you will make the stress melt right away. The glass is half full guys, not half empty!
I'm not sure where you live, but here we have 2 or 3 Clearchannel stations, one or two from Viacom, a couple of college stations and SEVERAL independant (as in owned by small local companies) stations. My only conclusion is you've either bought into the FUD about media consolidation or you're trolling:-)
Have you tried version 2.0 of GIMP? You can try a Windows version to see how you like it without having to mess with *nix. It's quite an improvement over previous versions.
Our job market is in shambles? A 5.6% unemployment rate is NOT shambles. Also, as a hiring manager in IT I can certainly attest to the fact that there are IT jobs being filled in the States, too.
I know this is offtopic, and feel free to mod me as such. I just can't let FUD like that stand on it's own merit without some clarification.
I'm not fond of seeing jobs go overseas, but that's the price of free trade sometimes. There are also about 6 million jobs in the US for foreign companies (names like Sony come to mind, plus many more).
Damn, I wish I had mod points. This is one of the more insightful comments I've seen here in awhile. They actually have an obligation to defend their trademarks, or risk losing them. People also have to eat too!
Then don't spend the money and don't watch the film. That's about the lamest excuse for breaking the law that I've ever heard.
Making a copy of something that does not belong to you, that you do not have the legal right to copy, is still theft.
You're taking a copy of something that doesn't belong to you. If that isn't stealing, what is it?
:)
I think the penalties in this bill are a bit harsh, but I'm really sick of this 'I want it for free' mentality.
Go ahead and mod me down
What, fraud and corruption in a government run program paid for by the little guy? I find this so hard to believe!
*note to the sarcasm imparied: my tongue was firmly in cheek.
Yeah, it's made out of recycled OpenServer manuals, since nobody has bought the product in a long long time :)
Then run it on Windows and quit your bitching, or support a project/product that might one day allow you to run it on *nix :-)

LOL! I'd mod you up as Funny if I had the points. Sorry to burst the bubble though, she's very petite ;)

There certainly is (yes I know you're just trolling). Unfortunately, pessimistic asshats can't find them :-)

The short answer is no. Distilled water has far less conductivity but it still is a conductor.
You are both right. The money comes from the freedom. Liberty is the solution to the human condition.
Um, who said I was a fanboy? I simply asked if she had checked out the latest version. Talk about an ill-informed knee-jerk reaction :-)

Philips already makes one.
Gee, that's funny, because according to the Mono project FAQ, GUI.Forms support is indeed being worked on.

Yes, but if you RTFA (I know...I know...no I'm not new here), this one is an ARM derivative.

In a country ruled by lawyers, does this really surprise you?
