You are celebrating because a man killed his family? You need some serious help.
If they'd put him in a medium or max security prison where he couldn't have escaped this would never have happened. He also didn't deserve death for what he did; the jail time and fines/restitution was plenty.
So...they financed it...they provided engineers...and of course it's not their invention. On the other hand had Apple done the same this site would be fanboi heavy today rather than laced with criticism and jokes.
Not to mention additional time for the felony of escaping in the first place. He'll most likely end up in a maximum security prison with a roomie who was a violent offender. I hope the first thing he hears is 'Boy, you sure do got purty eyes.'
As you can tell from the way laws are not enforced.
There, fixed it for you.
Part of the problem is that laws have *not* been enforced. If they had been, and if we had more sensible visa policies in the US (allowing more legal seasonal workers), then illegal immigration wouldn't be the problem it is.
It is *exactly* like an abusive relationship, and that's what troubles me the most about fanbois in general. I appreciate the quality of Apple's products, but I do not like the company one bit and because of that I am not buying another Mac until they change their arrogant attitude towards their userbase.
Actually it appears you are confused. There is NOTHING wrong with a label on content. They are not talking about hiding them behind the counter, just labelling them. There is also nothing at all wrong with parental controls. But ok I'll bite, here's an alternative. Nobody under 18 can buy a video game without their parent's express consent. Better? Didn't think so.
I couldn't have said it better. It sounds to me like the typical knee jerk reaction of self proclaimed 'civil rights' advocates. I am *all* for parents being able to control what content their kids are exposed to. If the kids don't like it then they can try to get emancipated...and pay their own way through life. Or just wait until they are 18 and then go their merry way.
It doesn't matter what his motivation was. The moment his bosses asked for the access and he refused he became a criminal, if in fact that is what happened.
I've been saying that since the IPO. Yes I bought shares, and yes I dumped them at a good price. The stock kept going up but I do not regret it at all. Ads are *way* overpriced, and when this next bubble bursts Google stock is going to tumble.
I am not a stock analyst so I'm not going to predict where the price will settle, but $477 a share (as of this posting) is WAY WAY WAY overvalued.
Sure, because in this modern age of warfare there is never a need to capture a high value target for interrogation. I guess we should send the NYPD into the Afghan highlands to make arrests then?
Ford invented the mass production assembly line for automobiles too. I guess that's why they lead the market. Oh? They don't? They've had huge drops in sales? Toyota sells more cars now?
Oh I saw your point. I was just pointing out that the training soldiers get is pretty intense, and while yes they do make mistakes, giving them a non lethal option isn't necessarily a bad thing.
In the hands of well trained soldiers trying to capture and not kill a valuable target these would be a good thing. Kick in the door, toss in a flash bang grenade and start shooting on the 'stun' setting.
Most corporate voicemail packages have allowed exactly this, internal to the organization of course, for many years. It's not a new idea, and it does have its uses.
I think it also depends on the organization. I work with a lot of Fortune 100's and most of them have clearly separate IS and IT departments. It's just semantics though.
Great suggestion. I wrote my first game in BASIC on a Trash 80 way back when. All text of course.
I would also suggest not forcing any particular platform/OS on the kid. Expose him to several if possible and explain the pros and cons as you see them. Then let him make his own choices.

Incidentally, Wizards of the Coast are now owned by Hasbro.
Bullies can only bully if people let them.
Not unless they have millions to spend on lobbyists.

OP is asking for open source tools. You cited a commercial one that doesn't provide source.

Yes, where is the 'Duh' tag when you really need it? Or maybe slownewsday...
I *am* the boss, you ignorant clod! ;-)

Exactly. Any other way would be prohibitive in terms of the amount of fuel you'd need.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. As long as we are stuck using chemical rockets launched from the Earth's surface the basic capsule design works.
Understood, I was simplifying things a bit.

Hmmm.
