It's both. Password stealing via phishing and other means has hit quite a few MMO's. It boils down to dumb users mainly, and Blizzard surely sees a profit opportunity in their stupidity.
Seeing as I know some very feminine girls who would probably kick your ass, it has nothing to do with manliness. Decisive? Yes I am. I have to be in my job and in daily life. Manly? I suppose; I never really thought about it like that.
It depends. Fortunately I've only had to actually defend myself a few times in my life. Most of the time a block is reflexive but for me counter attacks usually involve a conscious decision. I'd rather not kill anyone if I don't have to.
We can all remember this thread when the asshat wins a Darwin Award. I've been near clipped many times by people fumbling with their phones. Usually they are gabbing, but more and more it's young kids texting. Youth tends to think it's invincible anyways.
They even reference 'near accidents'. All it takes is for one other person around you to also have a lapse of attention to turn that 'near accident' into a real accident.
If you need to say 'be there in 5' then pull over, or just make them wait 5 minutes. Duh.
I'm very sure I can't accept it. Having studied various martial arts for the past 30 years, I can tell you with certainty that I can engage in action the instant I decide what I am going to do when responding to a threat situation. It's not just a matter of reflex and ingrained response. Time slows down immediately and I can often sift through a large number of options and decision points. Is this really a threat? If so, what's the best response? Run? Strike? Duck?
The same goes for more routine and mundane decisions, the way you put it exactly. Unless I am some how looking into the future and getting data that isn't there ten seconds before it's available, it takes me a LOT less time than 10 seconds to make a decision after I have all the information needed for said decision.
I'm glad to see that there are others who don't make the mistake of equating the Goverment with the Country. I still have a lot of pride in America, even when the Government disgusts me which happens with increasing frequency.
Directly from the page you apparantly googled (since you don't seem to have read it):
A detailed comparison of the properties of Lunar and Earth rock samples has placed very strong constraints on the possible validity of these hypotheses. For example, if the Moon came from material that once made up the Earth, then Lunar and Terrestrial rocks should be much more similar in composition than if the Moon was formed somewhere else and only later was captured by the Earth. These analyses indicate that the abundances of elements in Lunar and Terrestrial material are sufficiently different to make it unlikely that the Moon formed directly from the Earth. Generally, work over the last 10 years has essentially ruled out the first two explanations and made the third one rather unlikely. At present the fifth hypothesis, that the Moon was formed from a ring of matter ejected by collision of a large object with the Earth, is the favored hypothesis; however, the question is not completely settled and many details remain to the accounted for.
Emphasis mine, and as it says the most likely theory is the collision theory. It fits all the known data and computer models show how plausible it is compared to the other theories.
I am neither wealthy nor influential, nor do I think that is the American Dream. Being able to own a home and provide for one's family through hard work and self reliance without interference from an oppresive Government is the American Dream. Unfortunately many are confused and think it is what you seem to think it is. Equally unfortunate is that the dream IS being threatened by an increasingly insular and incestuous Government. Like I said...it's the Government that's broken, not the dream.
I'm considered by most to be highly educated, and I still believe in the American Dream as it were, largely because I have lived it. I went from homeless to middle/upper middle class by hard work, the way it's supposed to be done. Do not confuse the fact that our Government is horribly broken with the falsehood that America is broken. The spirit is still there, despite the best efforts of Government, Media, Academia, and Law to beat us down.
Well, if someone steals the secret designs for the new Widget(tm) that a company has then they should get jail time and that is an IP crime, although you could argue it's industrial espionage. We agree on this matter though. I would think probation would be enough even (plus a fine), not even six months. Six months in jail can totally ruin a person's life, whereas if they get probation they might just be able to keep their job/house, etc.
No, I think that everyone should be taxed at the same rate. I never said anyone should pay less or more than anyone else; that's your arguement. You make more, you pay more because x% of a larger pie means more taxes. The overall rate should be flat. Progressive tax rates are regressive.
On more thing, back to the issue of sales tax. It also manages to collect from underground economies that pay no income taxes at all(under the table workers, illegals, drug dealers, prostitutes, etc.).
Interesting, but I'd rather we have a better understanding of current genetic material and manipulation thereof before we go creating new bases that don't exist in nature.
This might just be an approrpiate time for the 'whatcouldpossiblygowrong' tag.
Never send a computer to do a human's work.

In other words, you would take a stand on principle, but not if it costs you a bit more money. Heh.

Unless the asshat runs into a tree while texting. Bingo! We have a winner!
Sometimes I can't decide whether to be decisive or not.

That's not even close to true, but the AC beat me to it with stats. The top 2% pays roughly 30-40% of the bill.
The top 50% of income earners foot 90% of the tax burden with regards to income tax.

Simple. Most people here in the US can't think in Russian.
Get rid of the 'hardhack' tag people. Sheesh. It's just software. There is no hardware hacking involved.
I could live with that. I was just pointing out that not all IP crimes are created equal.

A stiff fine would seem to be in order, and civil damages. Jail time is pretty harsh for this kind of IP crime though.

And they do pay more under a flat tax as well. In case you flunked math, 15% of $1,000,000 is a lot more than 15% of $20,000.
If I had been truly serious I would have said I'll bring the rifles and you bring the explosives and 10,000 friends.

Meet me at the Capitol. I'll bring the torches, you bring the pitchforks.
I'm only half kidding.
