Why not dual boot or even triple boot OS 9, OS X, and a PPC Linux like Yellow Dog. use the systems for similar task for a day in each OS. Then see what feels slow, and when doing what kind of tasks.

As you can imagine, "the gopher hole" was a project microshaft envisioned early-on. They couldn't let this go public until they had something to catch the little beasts with. Fortunately now they can catch the gophers with microshaft's giant.net.

The developing of a BeOS clone via this route may yield atleast the se two main benefits: * Linux and other *nix's will gain another easy to use, mature, comprehensive GUI. * BeOS will gain from more exposure and may get new development.
This is a great way to continue this great product.
