"Dale Todd, Evan's father, said he hooked up with Thompson through research he did on violent video games. He even obtained a copy of "Doom" and played it himself. He was appalled. "
'Obtained' a copy. Hrm, he's a warez feind. Oh well.
My issue is the fact that they use the OLD games as evidence. I dont belive games cause issues with kids, I just find it funny that they keep mentioning Doom instead of UT, or Half Life or anything else. They'll probably mention scorched earth or one must fall 2099 soon enough.:)
Ok, first. That sucks for him. He should know by now that if you mention guns in school, somebody will shi* a brick and that'll be that. Its the same as the police who shoot people with toy guns. If I'm a cop, and I see what looks like a gun, I'll take appropiate action. So the school has every right to treat Sean like he could have a gun. Next time he'll say "If I could just pummell you into the ground, you'd all be dead by now.". Simply by mentioning 'gun' the school's panties get in a bunch, and he's in trouble.
Sets the image for the next kid to get pissed off.
Granted, its downright stupid, but he should have known better and just kicked ass instead. Fighting isnt the way out, but when its gotta be done, dont mention 'gun'.
Grr, this means, they'll have to invent broadband, or something in my area...
Seeing as how I cant imagine waiting, waiting, and waiting for my new PS2 game to connect and verify my CD each time I want to play it, or even once per CD, I assume Sony will do the same sort of thing that Sega Net did? Tried to do?
For some reason, maybe its the idea of being recorded when I drive my Power Wheels (tm), this reminds me of the cameras in red lights that snapshot when you run a light.
Now this means, not only will I have a picture of me and my hot date running red lights, but I can prove I got to take out that supermodel with my GI Joe car!
Its not where the data is, its the fact that if I download protected stuff, its still my responsibility. So I just delay the feds a little bit. I dont think Napster would do any good with this, as its just shifting the crap around. You'll run out of places soon enough.
I wonder if I can get flush insurance on my cell, in case I drop it in the urinal while in the bathroom, and conferenced with the vp. Hrm, what a thought.
I suppose I should do the rest of my AFF jumps and get my own gear before I try this?:) A student chute might not survive. Plus, it'd take a lot of Estes class B rockets to push me up that high anyway. So, I'll just give up now and stick to the King Air.
"WDFA is a heavy Perl shop, but some shortcomings with Perl led the software group to investigate other scripting alternatives for the ambitious new project."
Guess they shouldnt use that module any more. Oh well. Too bad Perl isnt hardcore enough. *sarcasm again...*
Sweet. It'd leave more room for the fridge in my lan party box. And the speakers. And super-models wearing linux t's. Mmm... beer.
You thought I'd say "Mmmm super models" huh? Well, I just did!
Still dropping same voltage?

I wonder if this means they'll still drop the same voltate as a normal, red, led drops. It would be nice if they dropped say, hardly anything, and were cheap. Just because I want that night-rider led thing for my kick ass Hyundai. (Please, note the sarcasm there.)
I work at a place where the web-design / programming aspect is partially new. We're mostly a Novell/PC/Etc.. service company. When I've hit a block in something, I usually step away for an hour or so and fix something on the bench. Just focus my mind somewhere elss.
I totally agree! I took up skydiving last summer. Excessive negative cash flow kept me from finishing all but 2 of the 8 required jumps, but I'm saving up. Sometimes just looking up at clouds and saying "Damn, I fell thru those" gives me enough of a mini-break and gets me thinking - Hey, I've gotta get this done and get some cash in the bank.
Skydiving and Flying are great sports. They're relativly not that expensive ( 6k for the flying thing, and around 2 for the skydiving ).. and they get our bodies moving, and our brains thinking in a different way than we're used to. From point-here-click-there to holy-shit-the-doors-open-on-the-plane-and-i'm-supp osed-to-jump?
If I could ++ this comment, I would. Damn moderation stuff.

I dont know why, but "Slashtic" just makes me burst into laughter.
I dunno. It'd make me smile.

But, define "screwing around".. Its almost as if documents can / could / will be destroyed for reasons false?

Maybe the term... "I wouldnt wipe my ass with that webpage" can have some truth and meaning now?
Ok, so I just made it up. Shoot me.

This one is good too. Not too scientific, but it definitally makes one think.
