I can't say that I'm a terribly large fan of either of those movies. I think this guy was overpaid just a little much. They could've lifted one of the internet from some fanfic site for a lot cheaper. I'm a little bit worried about how good of a script it is.
I think Red v. Blue would be the perfect fanfic site to get the movie script from:p

Because PC is the term used to refer to the IBM PC and it's derivatives. Something with a Mac isn't. Yes PC stands for personal computer and the Mac is a personal computer, but a Mac is not a PC. This is a case of not all rectangles being squares.
For me the last straw was when I noticed the new forms for the values cards at the store I worked at required your driver's license number. I don't work there anymore, I won't even shop there.
I've been thinking of getting one for a long time. SSH, SSL, TLS, they all use AES as their strongest chipher. I also have IPsec and loop-aes setup, so I have even more reason to have one of those cards.
I've seen load averages well over 1500 on Solaris boxen. The CS dept at my college has some issues with giving us sane limits, so programming assignments occasionally go a little crazy.
Uptime usually works well into 2k, but "ps" and even ls in the/proc folder crap out around 500.
I got a buddy who turned second life into a wargame of sorts. I'm definetly going to have to tell him of this, he hasn't played it in a long time. They regularly ban him
Sean Connery (reading the categories): I've got to ask you about "The Penis Mightier".
Alex Trebek: What? No. No, no, that is "The Pen is Mightier."
Sean Connery: Gussy it up however you want, Trebek. What matters is does it work? Will it really mighty my penis, man?
Alex Trebek: It's not a product, Mr. Connery.
Sean Connery: Because I've ordered devices like that before - wasted a pretty penny, I don't mind telling you. And if The Penis Mightier works, I'll order a dozen.
Alex Trebek: It's not a Penis Mightier, Mr. Connery. There's no such thing!
Nicholas Cage: Wait, wait, wait...are you selling Penis Mightiers?
Alex Trebek: No! No, I'm not.
Sean Connery: Well, you're sitting on a gold mine, Trebek!
Not only that, but all the information we index and then can't retrieve!

Treason is the only crime defined in the Constitution and it does indeed carry the death penalty.
As a followup, the Constitution also defines the evidence requirements: two witnesses to the same overt act. Makes it very difficult to convict someone of it. Which is why in modern times we just declare them enemy combatants, strip their citizenship, and send them to Gitmo./me ducks
Umm wait that was the PC BIOS case? I thought that was Phoenix Technologies and they were the defendent. IBM was the defense in that case?
Care to elaborate on Compaq v. IBM? I haven't heard of that one before.

Yep RT is what is used all over MTU. Can be a pain, but works well.
All students run as local administrator on XP machines at the high school I work at during the summer. Why? I don't know, I'm trying to change it.

I'd just like to point out that Poland (and Germany, and plenty of others) are NOT in the western hemisphere.

Lemme guess Novell login?
Still uses IPX not IP unless configured otherwise.

Funny, my computer told me it was SIGFPE miles per gallon.

Well with the larger config files knowing where to start can be an issue, so a well commented default config file is nice.
A well commented config file with inline examples is even better. Sure they might end up being 10x longer than necessary, but they are readable.
damn, beat me to it.
You were reading bash.org weren't you?
And yes, my Debian box also fell to that the first time I ran it.
I put that on the wall of the CS computer lab here for fun, I don't know how many poor souls ran it.
time_t is usually a long now which fixes the problem on 64-bit systems. I think they are hoping we won't be using 32-bit systems in 2038.
