it prints rebate reciepts at best buy, and if something is DEVO (defective equipment void of operation) it means its sent back to the manufactuer and best buy gets its money back, so the'll accept the return w/out the box.

My school used to use FoolProof, well, they still do on some of the 98 workstations.
It was always fun going in the first day, firing up a memory editor, viewing the FoolProof process and finding the password out, we used to have races on this:-).
FoolProof stores password in memory in plain text.
"Students don't pay for school, their parents do...And those that do pay their own way don't have a life savings to worry about anyway....And even if they did, and they had to quit shcool because they lost it, there's more potential students waiting to replace them. So no matter how it works out, the college's tuition stream is safe. "
I know im gonna get modded down quite low for this.... but oh well.... sure middle eastern countries do cause a lot of problems... but the "military" you support is only the outer layer, i can say probably with 95 percent certantiy that the US government has carried out black opps that have been far more viscious than the average terroist cell.
what version of windows are you running? I have had no problem with turning off the pagefile in 2000 and xp, my machines have 1gb in them and they cranked when i disabled the pagefile.
should be in control panel - system - advanced - performance --- look in there for something to set the page file to 0 or to disable it.
This is just a thought, i dont know if it will work though. Most P2P software lets you control the amount of bandwith that is used. What if you set up an internal webpage that says how to enable bandwith settings and what to set them too. Then send a campus wide email to everyone linking them to this page. If the students dont comply, then resort to harsher measures such as banning there macs or disconnecting their ports completly at the switch.... just a thought.
news.com and news.com.com both resolve to seperate ip addresses. it is a possibility that they are a different servers set up to basicaly balance out the load. it is possible they are on 2 seperate net connections so a slashdotting doesn't kill their bandwith...
Ok, just because he doesn't know which tools to use, doesn't mean you have the right to be an arrogrant ass about it. Everone has to start from the bottom and gradually climb the ladder of success. Maybe he was intrested in learning how to do it? Its people saying things like what you say that prevent others from even attempting new things. Just a few thoughts....
usually people read the dialog before blindly clicking it :-)

im sure one of the chip makers will be using that excuse soon enough.
The public end of technology in the us is lower than japan and such. I can guarantee you probably not the NSA or CIA's technological reach.
its 75 cents for every decoder program charged to the programmer, not to the end user...
Thats what I was guessing, but just wanted to be sure.
I'm guessing they accessed the terminals themselves. I dont know whether you were joking or not :-)
