    I suggest no-ip.com. I moved to them after Dyn doubled their prices last year for no good reason.

    No-ip had a run-in with Microsoft a couple of years back, but came through it okay.

    Still, I'm sure Oracle knows what he's doing with his decision to buy Dyn.

    The professional anti-AGW trolls have campaigned successfully and there are otherwise intelligent people here who honestly believe the BS they have been fed elsewhere.

    We saw the same thing here recently when /. was flooded with SJW posts that pushed every tiny LGBTQRSC issue as if it were a matter of fundamental human rights.

    Trump is a most unpleasant, vile, human being but I get the feeling that the hysterical over-reaction to his election is going to do far more damage in the USA and globally than anything he is likely to do in his presidency.

    You know, I agree with a lot of what you said.

    However it's not really relevant to what we're discussing.

    The *point* is that electric cars use a hell of a lot less energy than ICE's[1], produce a lot less pollutants[2], and don't have to further compromise their efficiency by converting emissions into something else.

    And that's a worst case scenario - I'm sure you'll know that electricity is increasingly being provided by wind and solar. Not as a base load of course, but massively reducing the amount of fossil fuels needing to be burned in the first place. Also, hydroelectric and nuclear base loads exist.

    [2] Yes, even when power stations are burning dirty filthy radioactive coal.

  22. Entourage was a bit easier to operate than Outlook at one stage, yes.

    However I can only assume you have never used Microsoft Word, Excel nor Powerpoint on a Mac before. They are always buggier, slower and missing more features than their Windows counterparts. And that is damning the Windows versions with faint praise.
