The guy linked above is a bit nose-in-the-air (and sort of an asshole to boot), but the playlist itself pretty much outlines a great deal about radiation, both manmade and naturally occurring.
He's done quite a bit of work on it, and has actually taken a geiger counter on a plane to measure exposure.
Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if some of his work was at the foundation of the article itself.
They need to be able to run kiosk maintenance in a staggered/staged manner.
Because, right now, it takes roughly 30 minutes to do it on extant kiosks. Yet they only leave one or maybe (if we're lucky) two regular registers open. Or worse, have to do register maintenance simultaneously...
If they're doing register-less stores, they need to be able to keep banks of them up and running while maintaining others.
If someone is just late-shopping for a shirt or socks, they can just drop them and go.
When someone is shopping for frozen foodstuffs, 30+ minutes waiting for kiosks or in a line of 30 peopleis just unacceptable.
Of the 98 oil producing nations on Earth, they're roughly #71. It equates out to about 0.02% of total, worldwide production. Basically, any of the top 15 countries in the world could increase production 1% and totally negate any losses from France and its territories.
I honestly can't think of anyone still using DDE for anything. Compared to OLE it's clumsy and very, very badly supported. You'll have more comfort writing Windows GUI applications in C++ with Visual Studio than using DDE.
I don't give a flying inverse sideways hate-fuckathon HOW secure you're promised it is. In the end, YOU are responsible for disseminating it. If you put it online in ANY capacity whatsoever, it WILL be compromised and it WILL be disseminated without your say-so.
Notice that you couldn't post as anything other than AC for this.
Yeah. He WAS (and still IS) divisive.
Racially, economically and ideologically.
I'm not trying to compare him to your source. Or to say which is better.
I simply said he has relevant experience with radiation, having used and worked around reactors in the course of his work in chemistry.
If you don't like him, don't watch him. No skin off my nose.
I simply linked to him because he provides a wealth of immediate visual data to viewers.
Maybe because he's not doing it by "Death by Powerpoint" and he DOES have relevant experience.

Rearing it's ugly head again.
Sorry, but being poor isn't a virtue. Nor is it something to condemn someone for.
It just is.
Yet some boob wants to claim that the poorer you are, the wiser you are.
Never mind that one has NOTHING to do with the other.
There are dumbasses in EVERY social strata.
Just like there are intelligent and caring people in every social strata.

Basically, at this point, it's a giant gimmick.

Just like every other stupid, non-standard Windows version ever produced.
It's a waste of time, effort, money and people's patience with Micro$3it.
This has been going on in social media for years!
They're essentially the bastard butt-babies of chain letters.
Remember, they only disabled it for Word.
It still works in Excel and Outlook.
It'll probably be stripped completely out of Office 2018 though.
I honestly can't think of anyone still using DDE for anything. Compared to OLE it's clumsy and very, very badly supported. You'll have more comfort writing Windows GUI applications in C++ with Visual Studio than using DDE.
Actually, a lot of Office links still use DDE.
Starting to? This guy is garbage, and I am sucker punching his ass if I am ever fortunate enough to meet him.
I am notoriously forgiving and long-suffering...
But Pai's idiotic and abrasive antics from a position of power are starting to push my "Fuck you motherfucker!" button.
Seriously?
They never thought about a backup power scenario?
EVER? In 90 years?
As most people seem to have a SEVERELY tenuous grasp on reality as it is. So what?
As I see it, if there are any dangerous repercussions, it'll simply act as chlorination of the gene pool.
Don't put it on the Internet!
PERIOD!

END OF DISCUSSION!
Cryptocurrency.
How much power has THAT sucked down in the past how many years?
Enough to offset the cessation of incandescent bulb usage for 8-10 years?
There is only OTHER PEOPLE'S SERVERS.
Besides, doesn't the government have enough security problems with things locked behind their own networks as-is?
Don't they see the obvious trump play in this?
I swear to fuck they're getting no oxygenation above their Adam's Apple.
I know the unmitigated yahoos running CBOE's back-end.
Very "Let's do THIS!", then toss on a bunch of half-assed implementation, and then flipping a nut when things don't go as they imagined.
YES!
Yes it does!
Basically this is CAH's attempt to be obstructionist while passing the buck.
And these people are liable for property taxes and the like...
No. Not really.
How many of those people have the funds to defend against an Eminent Domain claim by the government?
I'm gonna bet it's someplace between "damn few" and "none".
All they've done is increased the amount of paperwork a bit. A nuisance at best.
So, sure, most of these people will be "compensated" some money when the land is seized. And that'll be the end of it.
