    Telemarketing isn't really a great comparison, because it's NOT a well paying job, it' shitty work for shitty pay, which people generally take because they can't find anything else at the moment.

    That makes sense, given that LED (terrestrial) grow lights are pretty purple (or deep red or deep blue)

    I guess then it's commonplace to run a full spectrum fluorescent alongside those for viewing?

    It's not difficult normalize the capsaicin content in the process of extraction, therefore there is nothing inherently inferior about taking this direction. Most herbal extracts specified that the active parts are normalized to X% +- a bit. Green tea extract would be a good example.

    You could perhaps argue that synthesis is cheaper or whatnot, but you must compare the abundant farmland and no shortage of people to grow them vs having an insdustrial plant and appropriately trained personnel, and so forth.

    Cheaper, possibly less infrastructure needed (in terms of refining capacity, etc)

    Also sends some wealth out to the farming areas where these are grown.

    Teatimer's nice, and I've used it to good effect on various machines, but it seems to kill startup performance and eat a ton of memory. Have you seen similar?

    I really like the look of those things; just wish they didn't bypass some of the iPod's functionality (EQ and possibly "sound check" iirc)

    Not that I blame DICE for this, i think it's just how the ipod is made.

    Sortof. The the "richer" people are largely still just middle class and many are barely getting by as it is; now they are being locked into insurance, and due to other nuances of the bill (raising coverage age for "children", ban on pre existing conditions, etc) premiums will almost certainly head for the clouds.

    If they actually exist, I suspect either they either:

    die lying there in the snow and are never heard from again

    or: Call it in, resulting in an SAR or airlift operation to get them out of of the wilderness into the ER, amusingly resulting in a tremendous bill which the hospital will write off, as they have no ability to pay.

    In an IT like field, sure. In others, probably they won't care about where you've been for 2 years, so long as you can do the tasks your position requires.

    Beans are CHEAP. Where I am 5 bucks of canned beans would feed 2 or 3 people (not well, but keep them alive)

    I'm glad things went well for you and your wife. If you don't mind me asking, were you at a large hospital?

    I keep wondering if the difference in service is related to most of my experience being with small (rural, under 10 person) practices.
