Many of them suck, in one way or the other, and they get (sometimes) protected by the union when they should be fired immediately for various things ranging from holding grudges against children to simply being bad at what they do.
Which part of working multiple hourly wage jobs to get through college isn't being responsible? Very few of my classmates were able to find one that offered any kind of health benefit.
Have you been around many of your age-peers lately? I'm 26 myself, and remember enough of college to think that denying a vacation rental to college age kids is a great idea.
Places that restrict rentals in such a way are worried about a group of immature people coming in and destroying the place without any means to pay for it.
One could perhaps argue that the 12% IE6 users are much much more likely to be corporate/business class users, which may or may not equate to more likely to utilize a particular website
I recall encountering at some point a bug in which windows would not regenerate the thumbnail preview for a jpg. this caused some hilarious results when i became the recipient of an edited (black censor bars editing) photo whos thumbnail was still pristine.
I never fail to snicker at the mentality of advertisers like this. Real world analogue: Do people really buy from the companies who have a business card stuck under the wiper of their car, or a stupid doorhanger put on the door of your apartment? They must, I guess, but wtf.
I go out of my way to let them know that while before I had no idea their stupid club, real estate agency, or pizza joint existed, now I do, and between the annoyance of having to dispose of their garbage and the fact that they're creating said garbage to start, i won't be patronizing them.
