  1. Lemmings... on Pentium IV Hits 2 Ghz · · Score: 2, Insightful

AMD needs to start gettin the word out that numbers aren't the only thing that matters. On a side note, no one will ever have the crown permanantly. Intel may have it for now then the Palominos will hit 2GHz and then Intel will come out with something faster, then AMD, then Cyrix, then....wait a minute scratch the Cyrix comment.

Although a lot of the stuff posted here may not be world news, it gives us all a soapbox to make an educated statement about any topic that interests us. Or for some a place to put totally random ASCII pictures of dongs and tits. Sure you may not be gaining huge publicity, but you are mistaken if you thought that everyone had a chance to become famous on the internet. Obviously, people with more money can afford advertising, domain names, webspace, servers, etc...increasing the size of their soapbox.

I was just about to congratulate Microsoft on making a smart move. Grant it you were able to turn it off in IE, the other companies' software may not be as forgiving. I must say, the smart tag feature was some real annoying shit, if a bunch of companies start carrying through with it, there are gonna be some virtual riots.

The movie is some funny shit. Although the fact that it does have a bad plot like Dude Where's My Car, at least the humor in it is not juvenile. This and Dogma are up there as some of the funniest movies from Kevin Smith that I have seen. I also love the cameo appearances from characters from previous movies. You definitely have to see this movie.

Also note some people say its not worth the effort. I could go buy a level 60 casting class and make a consistent 40-50k a week while putting in about 30 hours a week. Thats about $450 a week of tax free income. Now this is a measly annual income for someone who can get a professional job, but in high school I had more freetime and money (and no money doesn't bring you happiness) than friends who worked their tails off. A college student could do this as well, as far as I hear any money in college is good money.

Check out PlayerAuctions and see what the shit is selling for. It is awesome profit considering it takes little time to get Platinum and some boneheads never realize it so they just buy it. Of course eBay has been forced to pull all EverQuest auctions and I don't know why PlayerAuctions is still safe. On a serious side, yes, Platinum pieces are worth considerably more than any 3rd world nations currency, which shows how spoiled this country is.
