I prefer to build my own. I buy the cheapest shit I can get, many times it does not work, slowly I am learning. But I love commodity pc hardware, no sense in paying apple or sparc prices for stuff that performs, I can do better on my own.
What about users who log into different machines throughtout the day and would like to get their email? Or what if the reliable, reliable client computer goes tits up?
Let them patent it. Let them charge money for it. Does it make Linux less useful or more useful? Just because Linux is free does not mean that every fucking program ever compiled to run on it must be. Get your head out of your asses and start thinking about making a buck, feeding a family, running a successful business.
Like an OS that composes 5% of a desktop market can make anything a standard. What is the market for the new twisted SAMBA if Windows clients can't use it. THINK!!!
That is the one thing I hate about the linux community. Too many of us expect everything for free. Companies need to pay workers. Sometimes I just wish Microsoft would bitch slap us.
No matter what. Linux will not take the desktop, I don't care if M$ itself bought Redhat. I don't care if I have to pay for an OS as long as it is easy to use and powerful. I am sure most home users feel that way.
If you would rather have us in loin cloths owning nothing so we don't hurt mother earth, I have two words for you - fuck yourself!

Linux r0x.
Base IIS install complete with Nimda and Code Red.
I once set up IIS with no patches on purpose to see how long it took until Nimda was installed. All of 30 minutes - via DIALUP into my ISP.

KEEP THE SHIT ON THE SERVER!!!!!!!
Yup, just what we need another zealot ramming our tastes, beliefs, convictions, etc down others throaots.

Great now were doing pc like things on linux - what stunning innovation.
Yeah, what if it became a de facto standard.

The future is dark indeed. Microsoft will have a stable 64 bit os before Mozilla hits 1.0. Opera is the way to fly.
Yes, didn't Karl Marx become famous for refusing to sit in the back of the bus. Or maybe it was Rosa Parks;)
I own a SunBlade. The standard hd is a Seagate Baracuda, not a bad drive if you ask me, for pci.
Yes, but it won't. If Microsoft is defeated it won't be at the hands of this or any gov't it will be people choosing superior products.
