The wierdos will do what ever floats their boat no matter what the law or society says about it. Moreover it is apparently unrelated things which cause them to commit something (not just pedophiles) That's pretty much what defines a weirdo.

I consider your argument to be flawed... To illustrate I ask: Does, in your own personal experience, viewing p0rn (of what ever flavour you fancy) incite you to commit questionable acts aginst another?

It dosn't wipe or blow or flush automatically, you still have to do that yourself. It's really a very plain and usual household toilet, which incidently is located in the laundry (as such spare), off the back of the house, which takes the time pressure of the deed (I have a young family). But it does have a 96M FreeBSD 4.4 box sitting right in front of it (it's where I'm posting this) to read ./ etc on the bog. Very civilised if I do say so myself :) It could probably do with one improvement, a padded seat....

It should be more than possible. Back in it's hay-day the Amiga had an emulator board which was only some PALs (no extra CPU) which would run MacOS faster than any mac of the day while still running AmigaOS.

I expect this crowd will do it agian, after all it was this crowd who started the trademark saying thing with "Because we can"(TM). Since none of the technical brilliance (ideas) has been lost from the Amiga, I expect an exceptional Mac emu sooner or later and many other things besides.

  14. Good Example on Macromedia Pushes Flash For All Things Web · · Score: 1
Of what most flash is... All the UI stuff done with the calendar/booking system that I can see could easily be done with a bit of javascript, all in the one page if you like. It's got no vector graphics so no need to load the plug-in for that.

Unfortunately most of what's done with flash is "animated *cough* gif"...

On the other hand the cute flash games that are usually stand-alone are fun and sometimes cool, but I don't consider it web content, even when it's displayed in a browser. Apparently others do.

It's not Developers who are/were screaming out for it, but designers, managers and other non-tech types. Developers are the ones in the back sniggering at the wisdom being imparted, until they realise the designers will be coming to them with "but why dosen't it work? Umm... Your [just] a programmer, you fix it."

I have never had a client insist or even suggest using flash. At most they as what it is. I have however had a client ask to replace a whole lot of flash with, you guessed it, jasvascript and animated gifs (there not alwasys as dumb as they seem).

  17. Good programmers deserve riches on Blizzard, Bnetd Respond on Bnetd Shutdown · · Score: 1
Every game, if it even vaguely ok, gets ripped or keygen'd or cracked, _always_ before they are released. Every single rip/iso etc of an online multi-play thing I've ever seen allows you to play in single player mode, but not online. They always say in the .nfo "if you wamma play online, Buy it!....". Sure there are keygens, crack & stuff that do allow online play with cracked stuff, but these keygens work with the real thing too and are NOT that common. As such experience shows no matter what brilliant (lame) key system they use someone some where with the ice, the time and that want to know, will at leat be able to nop the checks and may even crack their little baby so wide thay can make a trivial keygen in say oh 20 mins.

tip: use PKI or some such and NOT some "may as well be rot13" hash crap at least then it will only be the the most skillful and most determined who may someday succeed, and then only maybe ;D

Personally I Do use the rip to check out a game (say Empire Earth) and if I think it's worth it or I wanna play online, I buy it when it comes out. I have heaps of games I would never have baught before I decided (was forced) to "try before you buy". The free demo system publishers are using works better for me, that is if they have one? But every now and then when I listen to too much hype I juz have to check it out.

If I dont like it I don't play it. If I play it I own it. Good programmers deserve all the riches of heaven & earth.
