I don't think it matters which party has control. The GOP would let private insurers raise your rates or deny you coverage. Under Medicare for All it would be seen as something to deny care for someone because the total cost of their care would outweigh their benefit to society.
I'd love to see a segment about the gender gap in more blue-collar fields. Fields like sanitation workers, plumbers, electricians and construction workers. These are all jobs which can provide a livable wage and comfortable life, but I don't ever hear about anyone screaming because they are male dominated.
No joke. Everyone here seems to comment about how the software doesn't back up, dude that is what bacula, time machine, file history and others exist for...
I would almost lay money that the defaulting customer had more to do with the closure than tariffs. This was kind of a niche market, which would probably swallow a 20% price increase. Depending on the size of the default, that may have been something that just couldn't be overcome. Blaming the tariffs sounds like a political scape goat.
I thought that MS tried this with an FPS back when the original Xbox came out, and PC players owned console players so bad they had to disable it so the console players could enjoy the game...
It seems to me, that it would be quicker to have the people sitting in the back be the first ones on. Then you don't have everyone stopping at the front of the plane.
I find it amusing that the excerpt tries to normalize censorship in places like Germany, while condemning such acts in Vietnam. Censorship is the same, whether it's against hate speech or otherwise.

If you don't agree with the CEO's salary being so high, shop somewhere else.

Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.
What good is it if it doesn't give you code highlighting like vim?

I think this is a great idea, as long as no government institution is exempted.

The people who should be surprised are the ones living in so-called 'free' nations where we try to censor hate speech.

It's been my experience that many HR departments are largely inept when it comes to technical hiring.
Has anyone else noticed odd bugs with the latest version of Firefox built on Quantum on OS X?
