I experience code from others who have this problem, and frankly it pisses me off. Not meaning to flame you, but what seems creative and amusing at the time stays in the source, and becomes stupid and annoying later.
The same goes for 'amusing' comments in the code, or CVS logs.
For your sake in the future, and your coworkers' sake now, please stop it.
Why certainly, just tell her to hurry up. She's usually extremely fucking slow. Tell her to go to the clinic to get rid of some of her bugs as well, skanky bitch.
Yeah, it's a real innovation. A system that converts names to IP addresses. No-one's thought of that before.
It's like DNS being controlled by a single company who charge what they like; there was no reason for the company to succeed. What do they really offer over DNS?
But hey, let's blame MS for quashing innovation. If Microsoft had set up this scheme, everyone would be outraged that they were trying to take over from the DNS system. Ah, bollocks.
Thank's for the google link, I'm having a great read.
Seems the pet people have a sense of humour, which is more than can be said for the Linux clan. Bunch of fucking losers. The replies seem to be split between calling you a troll, insulting you, claiming you're funded by MS (fucknuts), and the obligatory clueless post that assumes you've told the truth and tries to argue around it. Beautiful.
Actually, my favorite bit was cross-posting to alt.fan.british-accent. One troll from you and then the entire Linux dev team spam it to buggery!
All these songs are shite. I mean, honestly; every so often one does the email rounds, where you get a message subject 'FW:FW:FW:LOLOLO@LOL!!!! Brittanie Speers adn EMUNEM remix!!! Funny!!!!'
They aren't funny, or good. People download them, and they are an amusing idea for exactly 10 seconds. Nobody actually puts these into regular rotation on their music list, because they aren't actually good. Anyone who does have it in their regular rotation clearly does not appreciate music.
No, the real difference is, loathe him or despise him, RMS has done a lot for OSS. He has principles and sticks to them religiously. Just because I think he's a dick doesn't mean I can't respect him for that.
Article: News article can be digested to popular Slashdot buzzwords
Reuters - It was recently revealed that a not particularly interesting event could be phrased as 'Security through obscurity' thus making it newsworthy. Discuss.

Market analysts today confirmed that it was possible to misspell 'Microsoft' (NASDAQ:MSFT) as 'Micro$oft'. Details to follow.

Ah, different point. If you re-read my sarcastic post you will see that I specifically referred to Taco's attack on the worthlessness of the code audit.
Had he said 'I can't believe they released software with a hole....' as you did, then I'd probably still have mentioned patches and the like, but I would have had far less grounds for sarcastic derision.
*sigh* but this is Slashdot, where one can be revered for posting such a fundamentally flawed comment without fear of ridicule.
I'm also thinking of creating an account called 'TheNotAllMicrowavesHeatWaterUpNazi" to post to any thread about mobile phones, but I'm not sure if a) the name is too long, or b) I can be arsed.
Undoubtedly - and the article does mention the low stock etc, so this sort of event is definitely prompted by something.
I was poking fun at the true Slashdot effect, which is to ignore n execs leaving, but when exec n+1 leaves and happens to have something to do with Linux, a front page story is posted with implications that this is some sort of Linux related event.
There is no automatic downmod of goatse posts, and it is even possible to gain karma with one.
But you'll see that there were a few people who were unhappy with the situation....while you're there you may want to check out the link with tips to avoid a goatse-ing.

PS. Did I mention how fucking annoying it is?
The only people who benefit from open source are hackers, pirates and terrorists.
Next time make it more original in some way. I suggest adding an hilarious joke about Microsoft (I mean Micro$oft w00t! ROFLOLOLOL).
Why certainly, just tell her to hurry up. She's usually extremely fucking slow. Tell her to go to the clinic to get rid of some of her bugs as well, skanky bitch.
Have you seen her?
Nope, kids are definitely in danger if I'm online and horny.

I rate that posting as an A

Keep it up guys - until they create some sort of 'Linux kernel mailing list' the Slashdot front page is my only source for this information.
As this is Slashdot
All news has to be good news
If it's on Linux.
I trust you're going to submit this as a story to Trollaxor.com once the site is back up and running on a new server?
ESR is just some sort of leeching gasbag.
Had he said 'I can't believe they released software with a hole....' as you did, then I'd probably still have mentioned patches and the like, but I would have had far less grounds for sarcastic derision.
It is still unpatched, right? Otherwise your submission just looks like stupid MS bashing.
Do you have a mirror?
High end? MySQL? BWAHAHAHA! Good one.

Wait a minute....he had something to do with LINUX?!? OMG!!!!!!!!!! The sky is falling in! Normal employee churn doesn't work the same with LINUX!
I would have withheld judgement if I knew you'd be publishing a link to an article about installing an OS on a PC.
--gazbo, looking forward to articles investigating installing 'food' into a 'fridge'.
