Maybe not, but on slashdot? I'll blame the programmers. They haven't learned about i18n yet. Well, maybe I haven't tested it since the last redesign...
Seems a little disingenuous for slashdot to be posting this story when https is not available for all slashdot users. The danger is no less or different from the other sites being slammed. Pot, meet kettle.
You know when you're on a date and you go to play a movie, but the sound isn't working and you try to fix it and she walks off around the point you start opening man pages? Yeah, I've been there and I don't particularly want to go back.
If your date involved trying to play a movie on your computer.... you lost her before you even logged into the computer. (unless she's a computer geek, but then, she wouldn't have been frightened by the man page either)
That algorithm has a few collision attack, wouldn't 356a192b7913b04c54574d18c28d46e6395428ab , da4b9237bacccdf19c0760cab7aec4a8359010b0, 77de68daecd823babbb58edb1c8e14d7106e83bb be more secure?
I was just thinking of tossing it in the back of the garbage truck when it comes by to collect my garbage. Wading through my boy's old diapers would be an appropriate quid pro quo.
Many, if not most public schools actively DISCOURAGE parents from "interfering" with their children's "education".

My child's kindergarten teacher is thrilled that he is reading at a 1-2 grade level. Around here, parent involvement is greatly encouraged, and unfortunately, not always common.

That should have a degrees symbol.
Me too. What does a phone maker need word perfect for?
Your laptop can be used to detect earthquakes
Yes, if it falls off the table, it's probably an earthquake.
No, it's probably one of my children running by carelessly.

You, on the other hand, might want to read his entire post. It's only fourth sentences long .
Oh cmon... this is slashdot! Impressive that he read the second sentence!

Q: If you knew out the world was going to end in a few seconds, what are you doing posting on slashdot?!
Heh, I was wondering if anyone else spotted that.
I was just thinking of tossing it in the back of the garbage truck when it comes by to collect my garbage. Wading through my boy's old diapers would be an appropriate quid pro quo.
Note the use of the phrase "should be".
Yes, "should be". SHOULD has a very different meaning from MUST in standards documents.
I was on the fence before in this adobe vs apple thing... but if adobe jumps in with ms like that, I'm definitely on apple's side!!!
beautiful wood!
You said all that... and I *still* don't know who you're talkin about...
I haven't seen anything yesterday or today at either location.
Only it's not quite as old....
Bonus points for using cue and queue properly! Are you sure you intended to post this to /. ???

More to the point, there are fewer neutons/protons/electrons around. IIRC, it's the neutrons that are getting converted into energy, right?
The MagSafe adapter has saved me from destroying my computer on a number of occasions
While I could go on about other reasons I like my mac, this one alone has saved me enough times to justify any alleged cost difference.
