I hope it's better than the Davinci DV-3 I have. It can't keep correct time(which renders so many features useless), the to-do list only will show tasks checked as done, and the cursive handwriting system is an absolute joke.
The thing is, I don't think TF2 wil get noticed much. FireArms and Day of Defeat are the same dang format as TFC, and have drowned it out. TFC now looks outdated compared to CStrike and such. I got bored with it quickly.
The Shifter mod for Tribes 2 made the game not even worth bothering playing. All the weapons were way too powerful, negating any sort of weapons skill. There were also an excessive amount of classes that seemed to make little sense(Team Fortress Tribes?) and goofy items like the all-white jetpack made the game grossly unbalanced. One seasoned player could keep capping the flag over and over while everyone else was trying to figure out the weapons, classes, and strangely named items.
I just started playing Camageddon 3 TDR again(with the cheats ON sice I wanted to try out the missions), and I didn't observe until now, but your car falls in slow motion, ALL THE TIME. heh. Still,, fun game.
Cool! Zoids are back! While not exactly like the zoids of yesteryear, they look cool nonetheless. I like how they provide links to all these fun toys for easy holiday shopping.
I love spam as much as the next Minnesotan doesn't, but "Treet" is the most disgusting thing ever made. Makes spam look like fine gourmet rost beef. It can't even hold its shape like Spam can.
Many years ago I was microwaving(this was a rEALLY old microwave) something with cheese sauce. Afterward, these rows of lines kept moving around in weird patterns. Was that the same thing happening with the marshmallows?
If they don't want people linking to their website, just block all referrers. Mind you, it might be a bit difficult to get to their website, but rules are rules!
Does anyone remember that show on the Sci Fi channel that involved some tournament(some game I never heard of that had a dedicated cabinet, etc) involving racing spaceships with blockade runners etc?
The only thing i remmeber about that show was that it had THE nerdiest contestants I have ever seen.
SPeaking of TI-994/A, I could spend hours playing Tunnels of Doom. They should port that to Palm.
a little too big?

Seems a little too big to be a fun LAN party. You'd seriously have to do the buddy system there. At a LAN party, I woudln't trust leaving my computer for the time it takes to instal NetBus or BackOrifice.
Nor would I trust logging into anything on that network. Probably sniffers all over the place.
I like 'em small, like at a friends apartment(or a party room) where you can just chill, eat food a few feet away, etc.
I bought one myself too. I could NOT pass up a decent console for the cost of a typical x-box or gamecube game(50 bucks). Games under 10 bucks? Count me in!
I'm happy with mine. I wonder if Sega will get some sort of incentive to produce or at least translate more DC games from its surge of sales.
Sometimes when I'm on picture pages, I like to keep the thumbnails on one window, and the actual full-size images on another window. If you specify a targe(instead of _blank), you can click on several thumbnails and can alt_tab to the other window to see the image.
Of course, if you use Javascript(like mentioned above), forget abouddit.
If you have a large list of links on one page, PLEASE use different colors for visited and unvisited links. This is helpful for forgetful people like me who accidentally click on the same link twice.
Also, make it so you, the user can resize the font. NOt sure how it works, but I've seen my share of pages where moving the font size up and down doesn't work at all. People with poor eyesight will be thankful.
Also, do not have links open up in a new browser window unless absolutely necessary. If I want to click on a link to open in a new window, I'll do shift-click. You don't have to do it for me. I guess people assume they want their website to be on everyone's browser at all times, so links away from the website open up yet ANOTHER window(or in any case of a site on cjb.net, you'll get about 20 pop up windows in addition).
And don't try to jam links to everything on the index.html page. Spread it out a bit, in a logical manner. Every gaming site(which all look the same) love to do this.
Don't have excessive amounts of porn banners just to make a few bucks you won't see in referrals. You'll lose out on the audience of people who surf at work.
I'm a bit skeptical about this. I had the VTech "phones" expecting to talk with all sorts of people and exchanging voice mail with other people, but upon buying 2 of them, I quickly realized they had almost NO range whatsoever. Boy did I feel ripped off.
Try doing a search of the file WinsockFTP leaves(WS_FTP.LOG?). You'll get hundreds of hundreds of results, and you just might find unlinked files mentioned in it.
Of course, there's always good fun going into the/images/ directory(since virtual directories are on by default) on any angelfire user pages. Often you'll find images that the user didn't intend on the public to see.
Of cousre, there's the old fashioned way. If you see an image at http://www.whatever.com/boobie3.jpg, chances are there's a boobie1 and boobie2.jpg.
I have a feeling they're going to get around this putting their banner servers on hosts you'd never block, ie the site you are visiting.

Of all the dot-com failures that have happened over the last year, why couldn't DoubleClick be one of them? Why?
Great, now we can watch "BUFFERING" on TV now, and have it solicit your email address for special offers!

They did have a modem for the Genesis. I bought one for a friend of mine 5 years ago on clearence.
They also had "the sega channel". Heck, the Atari 2600 had the gameline system!

Okay, let's get one thing straight. "Dangerous Toys" was a pretty lackluster heavy metal band from the early 1990s.

The Sci Fi channel had some show based on some game with racing spaceships, in BattleTech style hardware.
You eventualy got the most BORING show with THE nerdiest contestants ever.

Apparently they have X-10 webcams and beautiful women bearing clevage.

Nothing, I guess.

Don't look at me. Apparently I have been living under a rock for not knowing this java dude's name.

Great, instead of war driving, people will be doing war riding on "It's a small world after all".
