    Coffee makers do not actually *boil* water, just heat it to the high 80-low 90 Celsius range.

    Cardfile. Just a plain, simple, almost stupid application that lets you enter a title and then free text on the rest of the card. I think it supported OLE embedding, but I won't vouch for that.

    These days I use TiddlyWiki for that kind of stuff, but it's been a long time without such a simple, but unbelievably useful application.

    Sure, but I don't buy a new pc whenever I get a haircut.

    I got my first PC, an 386, around 1992. Next thing was a Pentium 1. Then it was up to a P4, which died on me some two months ago. Still haven't bought a new one,but when I do, I expect it to last me another five years at least.

    2k$ over 5 years makes for 400$ per year. That's a lot less of an investment than what a lot of people spend on their PC.

    That being said, I have no burning desire to play the every new game at the top of it's pixel range, either. The PS3 does a fine job of that, for me.

    I don't know for sure about the RIAA, but Belgium's SABAM, the local music copyright spawn, works on the (surprisingly enough legal) notion that ALL music content is within their reach, also that of artists that aren't members.

    Well... I might assume that the v1 one was made by a young startup, with lots of fresh ideas about how to do things and little to no legacy code being dragged around.

    Really ? I didn't realise that. I'm just using a regular crypt, as I've no real need for a hidden volume, but out of curiosity:

      - can you mount both the regular and the hidden volume at the same time ?
      - would it also be detectable if you were to use the regular volume for 'reasonably sensitive data' which also gets changed on a regular basis ?

    I haven't, yet, but I *have* read the bible, and it's not exactly full of happy party people, either.

    Yes, there's a lot of love thy neighbour, but there's also quite a bit of if thy eye offends thee and women being like nut trees in their regular need of a good beating.

    If it's the distilled wisdom of the ancients, handed down unmodified throughout history complete with random classes of dutiful keepers of the lore,I don't want any of it. I'll think about shit and form my own opinions on right and wrong, thanks.
